I've been playing some war games earlier and I realised that about ten games in a row I received 2981 exp after the match finished if I had a score of 200+ in Infinity Slayer... Has anyone got any experience gains larger than this? At first I thought it was a coincidence as my game form was pretty spot on for the night, but a couple of times I had scores hitting nearly 400 points and my experience gain was still the same. I had a score of 180(ish) and it returned 2745, so it seems there's a cap that you can only gain 2981 per game? Has anyone else noticed this, or am I just randomly getting the same exp per match entirely by coincidence? lol
From my experience, this is true. I had a game where I had 58 kills and 0 deaths (Proof) with a score of 910 and I only got somewhere around 2900XP.
i ran into the cap, it told me i was done for the day. then, a couple hours later, i played some more just for the hell of it, and i kept on earning xp. soooooo.... i guess THATS broken too. =)
Double xp = making about 4500 xp a game, got a bottle of mountain dew and 3 games today haha but yes i notice this, if i happen to finish and play through a whole game i usually get 1700+ just for playing, 400+ for score, then like 500 as a victory gift
yeah I had that cap the other day too. You can earn other exp, just not multiplayer war games exp. I reached mine at like 11.30pm so only had to wait 30 minutes wrote I could earn exp again.
Broken. Someone tell xzamplez. EDIT: I mean seriously, 343 added an exp cap and extra opportunities (for money) to get more? Sounds stupid..
I think the xp cap is just how much you can gain total not per game. But honestly people are reaching it because of the double xp and if you play that much I don't think a little break will hurt anybody. I am not really for xp caps but whatever
That could actually be, but leaving your xbox for a few minutes works too i believe. But weirdly enough, i have completed all the spartan ops today and kept gaining tons of exp, with the commedations. No cap, i leveled like 5 times.
I know that in Halo: Reach this was possible when you reached the exp cap of 80,000 for the day until they patched it. So my guess is that 343i will probably already have had this fixed since it was a past issue in Reach. But thats just an guess, I have nothing to back it up.
I would doubly avoid that reasoning, seeing as many other issues in Reach (AHEM forge) were not addressed completely..
Pushed it as far forwards as it goes (+14) and I was able to gain XP again. Could've also been that I switched it on and off in the process. Either or; I was able to keep on leveling.
Does anyone have any official word from 343 themselves regarding this? I'm wondering how exactly it works, and when it will (hopefully) be removed.
Well... I'm still only getting a max of 2981exp for War Games. Spartan Ops, Forge, and Custom Games give different experience per game. Double experience can't be counted obviously because it isn't a standard game. I wasn't particularly bothered about the daily cap. I work through the day so it's rare that I'll reach the daily exp cap. I think the cap is only there for people who may find an abusive way to farm experience (I.E, Spartan Ops). Once they've reached the limit, they have to do something else if they still want to earn experience or wait for another day.
