Structure http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=17739734 Structure is an a-symetrical map that has a main building in the centre and 4 small buildings surrounding it. i blocked off the back corridor of foundry because i didn't have enough money to make it work well. the main building has three levels plus the rooftop, the sword spawns on top of the central box (inside the building) 2 minutes into the game and the sniper rifle is located on the rooftop balcony. there is a shotgun in the tallest building and a rocket launcher on the central box out the front of the main building this is the main building. this is the tall building with the shotgun this is the rooftop with the sniper and this is two of the buildings on the sides the map was designed for team slayer but i have made territories possible, there are alot of open areas around the buildings and i tried to make camping near impossible by placing fence walls or making multiple ways in. there are no specific bases but there are two small buildings on either side which are quite similar and could be used as bases this is my first attempt at buildings so if you have any tips they would be greatly appreciated
that middle picture with that bridge on the tall building reminds me of intersection, looks good ill dl when my xbox is back (T minus 3 weeks)
Try to avoid using pictures taken in forge, people don't like to see the spawn points, not something that will cause people to try your map out. Good concept though, keep forging. - Brute Captain
That first picture has got me. Is that 4 floors + multiple buildings. Nice job man, very nice first attempt.
That looks really cool, I like building maps. just a quick question, When making the map, what gametype did you make it revolve around because it looks like it was a FFA Slayer map. I like how you made good use of the interlocking technique and timed events. I like the feel of the map and look forward to more of your creations.
very cool map. It seems very well evened-out for the Attackers and defenders. I'll download and check it out.
i actually designed it for territories but when i played it it didn't quite work like i wanted it to so i changed it a bit and now its ffa slayer and yes that is 4 floors (well 3 floors and a rooftop) plus multiple balcony's and in-built elevators i was thinking about removing the rocket launcher and using the funds for something more useful any ideas?
i 've looked at all three of your maps and i loved them all it looks like u took the time to do like the touch ups and evrything on the 3 great job!@@!
thanks and i will be releasing 3 maybe four more maps as soon as my xbox gets fixed ( i would do it now but i dont have pics)
Nice structure. I like the height and the windows and fence walls. My only criticism is that you could have straightened the walls more and added alot more aeschetic qualities to your map. Doesn't matter though I gave it a download anyway. :squirrel_rubberduck:
yeah i made this map before i knew about how to do decent interlocking and make things look nice, but it plays well and it ain't that bad to look at, especially for a first map evar!
i'm not getting at you specifically here, but i hate to see maps where there's a 'Sniper point up here, with a sniper rifle sitting there so you don't miss it' ... its just not creative at all. More than half the maps i've seen seem to have the token 'Sniper Point' ... would it not be more prudent to challenge those who are good at sniping by creating more subtle places for a sniper to sit, whilst making them 'earn' their rifle from a seperate part of the map. It takes the fun away if its all just handed to you. [/rant over] yeah ... the map looks okay, could do with some action shots though ...
yeah, your right. Sniper Rifles can make a map, or ruin it. Especially if the sniper point is only accessible one way. It turns the sniper into a tool for camping.
well there is only one way to the sniper, but i don't think it encourages camping because of the amount of cover around the map
Intersection+Structure=WTF? You and Lintendo have some kind of telepathy goin, unless of course, Intersection was your inspiration.
