Port Authority Created by MockKnizzle008 & Psychoduck Recommended Players: 12-16 Required Gametype: Big Team Slayer, One Flag, Territories Well folks, I think it's best time we get accustom to some BTB (if you aren't already). Yes, with Halo 4 on the horizon it looks as if Big Team Battle will be much and more of what that game has to offer. There isn't anything wrong with that though; BTB offers some of the most lol-worthy, fun and just plain crazy action in all of the Halo series so what map better than Port Authority to demonstrate to you all just how great BTB is. Port Authority is a big map on the shores of the canyon; quite the familiar spot for BTB forges. Some players might be reminded of Longshore or Headlong, great Halo maps, as Port Authority pushes hard to emulate industrial Halo. While forging BTB maps can be a bit tough (with Reach's limitations), MockKnizzle and Psychoduck do quite a convincing job of said industrial setting. But aesthetics aren't everything, even here on Forge Hub, so we wouldn't be featuring this map if it wasn't still completely enjoyable to play with a great group of friends. Port Authority's strongest feature is perhaps that it creates such an excellent balance between players on foot and players in vehicles. Whether you prefer playing some one-sided objective, or just hop in a Warthog and slay, Port Authority has quite a lot to offer a multitude of various player bases. Congratulations MockKnizzle008 and Psychoduck; you guys may very well be the best BTB forgers in Halo: Reach! Download Port Authority You can view the original map thread by the author here. Certainly my favorite 1 v 1 map too Chris. Glad to see this made it into the contest. On a more serious note HEEEEEELZ YEAAAAAAAH!! On a more more serious note, I'm stoked to see this up in the features section. Port Authority has been my long time favorite BTB map in Reach. The hog gameplay is exquisite, the infancy gameplay is a s enjoyable as it gets. And the cheese? To die for. This is definitely one of the best BTB maps out there for both 1 sided objective and slayer games. Great feature to go out on, and Mock and Duck, I can't wait to keep forging and playing with you guys in Halo 4! Gratz good sirs.
Port Authority - ****in' Sick Map Seriously, congratulations on the feature. You gentlemen deserved it.
Is there some new game mode I've been missing out on? To be honest, I never have been too big on big team battle games and I've never had the opportunity to play this map, but I've read and heard great things about it which actually got me in the BTB mood again. Congrats, guys I'd love to get a game on it sometime.
I've supported the idea of this map being featured since it was released. It is, in my opinion, the most impressive BTB design in Reach. Whoever is responsible for the design, I give you props.
Looks interesting I have this on my xbox, but never can get a lobby big enough to play it Too bad. Gratz to MockKnizzle + Duck.
I've still not managed to play this, but bravo to the pair of you Congrats on your Artisan rank duck!
This. I did manage to have a run around on the map back when it was posted and I've gotta say, I was a big fan of the layout. Congrats to both of you.
Congrats to you guys, def one of the most deserving maps of BTB in Reach. Surprised this hasn't been front paged before, the map sells itself though. Extremely solid and enjoyable gameplay, and I'm not even a vehicle guy. Jesus, am I going to miss our days with Reach when H4 comes out? Someone needs to change the graphic to "featured map" rather than "1v1 smackdown".
This is definitely in my top three BTB maps. It was very deserving of every recognition it has received. I'd strive to say this map is better than the map it was inspired from in some respects. I've enjoyed every game I played on it, and I can only hope I see some sort of reiteration in Halo 4. Great job Duck n' Knizzle.
I have played this map dozens of times now and it's been a favorite of mine for a while. 1 Flag is a great gametype for this map and it's clear you guys put a lot of thought and effort into it. Congratulations on the feature. I hope to see this map return in Halo 4, if you guys can find a suitable area to forge it in.
