    Remnant

A symmetrical map designed for objective style games, created by Adamaro23.

Remnant is set up for all gametypes, but was originally inspired by
objective based gametypes (Assault, CTF, Territories, etc...).

Remnant features two identical bases (flag spawn), at which the teams start, two identical sniper towers, and an angled bridge dividing the map leading from one base to the other.

Here you see Blue Base, the middle bridge, blue team's Sniper Tower, and blue team's Dumpster Square.

And here you see Red Base, the middle bridge, red team's Sniper Tower, and red team's Dumpster Square.

Here is blue team's Sniper Tower up close, from here you can shoot anyone on the middle bridge, people in Red Base, and blue team's Dumpster Square. A perfect place to pick off enemies as your team's flag/bomb carrier makes it home.

The middle bridge, and the surrounding dumpster areas. Neutral Items spawn here (skull, bomb, flag), and in Territories the middle box serves as the middle territory.

This is the interior of Red Base (Blue Base is identical). Each Base sports a turret mounted on the front from which you can fire upon anyone on the bridge (but not the other base). Each base also has two entrances, a ground entrance on the bottem left, and an upper entrance on the top right that exits onto the middle bridge.

The bottom of the stairs in Red Base, two SMGs and two Spikers spawn here.

A close up of red team's Dumpster Square. A single Plasma Rifle spawns in the Dumpster Square. Also in Territories each of the Dumpster Squares serve as territories.

    WEAPONS:
SMG x4 (2 in Red Base, 2 in Blue Base)
Spiker x4 (2 in Red Base, 2 in Blue Base)
Needler x2 (1 in Red Base, 1 in Blue Base)
Battle Rifle x6 (2 in Red Base, 2 in Blue Base)
Assault Rifle x2 (1 in Red House, 1 in Blue House)
Plasma Pistol x2 (1 in Red Base, 1 in Blue Base)
Shotgun x1 (In upper box on Middle Bridge)
Magnum x2 (1 in Red Dumpster Short, 1 in Blue Dumpster Short)
Plasma Rifle x2 (1 in Red Dumpster Square, 1 in Blue Dumpster Square)
Sniper Rifle x2 (1 in Red Sniper Tower, 1 in Blue Sniper Tower)
Machine Gun Turret x2 (1 in Red Base, 1 in Blue Base)

    EQUIPMENT:
Energy Drainer x2 (1 in Red Corner, 1 in Blue Corner)
Regenerator x2 (1 on Red stairs, 1 on Blue Stairs)

I've playtested it alot since I made it (middle of April), and so far i've gotten nothing but positive replies from the people who've played it. Also according to people I played this map with said "Out of all the objective games Territories is the hardest on this map."

Now I know what some of you are going to say, that I should've flipped over the double boxes used to create the bases. My main reason? I wanted on base (Blue) to be decked out with UNSC symbols (upright), and the other just plain. Also if I would've flipped the boxes over it would've messed up the ground entrance to the bases.

And even after all the playtesting I still can't tell if the Shotgun is too powerful on this map or not, Suggestions?

Also if you did'nt notice i'm new here, I finally figured out how to link my gamercard. But i'm not behind on what happens here at forgehub.com, I've constantly watched over the site since it began. Hello eveyone, I'm Adam.

Anyway download it, play it and let me know how it went. Thanks :)

PS, I don't understand Imageshack could someone please instruct me how to do the images the proper way. Thanks. (nevermind i fixed the pics)

Meh, I really like your description, but you really ought to get larger pics. People like to see, seeing is believing, or in this case ensuring a download. It lloks like you just downloaded the thumbnail, try to use the full size regular image.

This looks pretty cool, as if it may play well with FFA slayer.
ALso if someone tells you to flip the bridges, dont listen to them. SOme people think bridges look better upside down (I personally dont care) but they walk better right side up.

I usually flip my bridges (especially for floors), this is the only map that I did'nt flip the bridges. I thought this map specificly looked better with the bridges right-side up.

The Power Drainer looks really bare where its at. I would at least but some sceery by it just so the map looks less boring.
