Ohay. So my XBL headset (Turtlebeach X41) has been pissing me off recently because it is way too sensitive to background noise. I never payed much attention to it, but lately, I've been noticing that I'm that guy that everyone hints at in a party for being unimaginably annoying for echoing since my microphone picks up any noise coming out of the headset (at minimal volume). On top of that, it's pretty annoying/embarrassing going into matchmaking with my 3 other roommates having some weird discussion in other rooms while they are picked up like they are an inch away from the mic. I was just wondering if anyone has any good suggestions for dampening my incoming audio because I've put socks, felt, duct tape, etc... all over the little foam-thingy that comes with the microphone, but nothing has worked for me. :/
Encase it in cement and see if that works. ;P Nah seriously, all I could recommend is the things you've already tried. Unless you tried a combination of everything and then some, I've got nothing else to suggest.
