So we've got FHF at about once a month at this point, and it's a popularity contest. Winning a FHF is supposed to be less prestigious than getting a feature, yet because of the frequency of features, one could argue that a FHF win is harder to accomplish at this point.
Thoughts and opinions?

 

It's a push.

FHF is Once per month, but still at least 3 maps per month.

Both are popularity contests to a large extent.
The only difference is the amount of people that are involved in the decision making process.

I don't necessarily feel that one is superior to the other in the quality of maps that are selected, either.

 

The big question for me is when did FHF become a once a month thing? I think I can speak for everyone in saying that we don't need the extra time to deliberate our votes.

And don't take any vacations unless you can take all of us (First Grade Logic deems this as fair.)

 

With the actual rate of features being one or two a month FHF is still easier. I assume the new schedule was adopted to allow a larger selection of maps for each period since people are making fewer now.
Why don't you make a "FHF Selection Issues" thread, Schnitzel.

 

Pyro, why you coming down so hard on me for merely raising debate? I'm simply provoking discussion, so don't try to spin this into some ***** session.

 

And I'm saying if you want to discuss this make a thread about it where it belongs. Now I'd like to ask that you don't spin this into some ***** session just because I suggested putting the debate where it belongs.

Personally, I think this FHF needed more Muskets...

Also I don't really care if FHF is becoming monthly because it'll bring the best maps to the top and hopefully bring a bit more merit back to the contest.

 

Pyro, I posted on you're wall to keep it from this thread. Instead of bringing here, you should have PM'd me your response. And the reason why you can't write on my wall is because of my privacy settings, you need to FR me to write on my wall. I only have one infraction, you should probably do a little research before you throw about allegations.

But since we're at it, I assumed you were trying to imply that I was "bitching" because that was your attitude in the "Feature Selection Issue" thread. Considering that, you probably should have figured I'd respond in the manner that I did.

Now moving on. PM me if you want to continue this, or FR me if you want to keep it semi-transparent by posting on my wall. I'm not gonna continue this debate in this thread. Period.
