I decided to put together a new map, its not finished yet, but I would like to know what everyone thinks. The Map is called Echoes, its built around four small landmarks in varing states of condition, each team will have several routes to pick and plenty of cover to allow them to advance on each other. This is the Red Base: It is a simple Bunker in an area with plenty of cover, there is a tunnel they can use to advance and there is a ramp leading up towards the main landmark. Or they can just go an charge through the gap in the rocks. This is the Blue Base: It realies more on natural cover for the team to advance, they have a smaller bunker for easier defence, and have easier access to a smaller piece of high ground, which has a bridge that will allow them to get to the main landmark. This is the centre of the map, it has a fully complete structure to fight around, with three-four ways up on foot, it is also the only home for the Shotgun. A photo of the rocky area of the map, which leads towards the tunnel and the gap in the rocks, it is the one location of the two focus rifles (one shown in the picture). There are also teleporters on the map, for the Blue team, there is a teleporter in the rock arch before the high ground, on the right. The Red team have a similar teleporter underneath the ramp. They both lead to a cave in the Canyon which holds the apperance of a Mine, with two routes through it. This offers an almost safe route past emeny defences. For example, if Blue Team still had control of the high ground, Red team could sneak through and hit them from behind. So players have to watch their backs! Heres the two areas of the Mine. I hate to do this, but I don't see this going very far. It doesn't really have any potential. I don't really like those structures you made. I feel like they are too simple and there is nothing notable about them. Also, the rocks along the inclines look bad. The rocks just don't look good. Overall, it is too simplistic, there isn't anything notable about it. However, some positive criticism. I like how you tried to be original. I see a lot of maps with the same type of design. Keep trying bud. Good luck

Honestly, you shouldn't have added all that cave stuff. You could have just linked up the areas. Since there's no LoS from anywhere to that cave, It looks like people can easily camp in the cave and backsmack everyone who comes in. Also, although this is more vague, your map feels like it's a forge map in Forge World. You can see across FW, which breaks immersion. Also, most of the pieces' identities are quite easy to guess at first glance. That contributes to the feeling that it's forge blocks rather than a map. Also, that long ramp in the second picture is ridiculous. There's a LoS from the top to the bottom. You should probably break that up a bit (lot). Basically: This map is meh.

To work with that area you need to build off the sides and widen it otherwise the map ends up too narrow. I built a map that involved almost tripling the width at the narrowest point and it was barely enough.
What pyro said As for being "internal", as you put it, not all maps with grass and a view of the sky give the impression of being in forge world. It's just the areas with cross-FW views that ruin it.
To be honest... This map needs more...map. If I am making any sense. There seems to be a lack of interesting structures. The bases you built out of the bunkers in my opinion look pretty bad and small which could lead to the bases not housing an objective very well. Also the other structures (again these are just my opinions) Look pretty bad in themselves. I think you need middle buildings not just little columns made of struts it would offer a nice objective for players to take control of and even (possibly) take a power weapon or vehicle. As for aesthetics I am not sure if you were going for a theme I can't tell so I won't say anything about them(especially since you say it is not finished) This could be a btb map that could turn out decent if you fixed all the problems and gave the players more immersion. (also the bases are too far from each other) Something I just noticed: you said the caves were supposed to be a safe rout to the other side but I see that it could turn out as the opposite. In such a confined space it would be real easy to camp the teleporters.
