"See, right from the start, it was different. It wasn't just on the news, it was in the streets and coming to get you".

Ghost Town- Halo Reach Map - YouTube

'Ghost Town' is a map where players are scattered around a desolate city where they must scrounge what little ammo they can find to defend themselves against the infection. Players have the option to move by foot, roaming the outskirts of the town or utilize the various vehicles around the map or players can stick to the buildings and camp it out in one of the many buildings including:-

    Hospital

    Bar

    Subway

    Park

    Chapel

    Food Court

    Car Dealership

    Gas Station

    Random Shops etc.

Whether players choose to work together or be a lone wolf, 'Ghost Town' will keep you at the edge of your seat and will make you do whatever it takes to survive. The infection has begun, can you survive?

So it's NOT a remake of the halo 3 map of the same name? Anywho, I'd have to say, not liking the big flat surface for the entire map kind of deal... Like how in a zombie apocalypse situation, the best thing to do would be to get to high ground... well there is none. And no, I'm not referring to tall buildings, which there also doesn't seem to be an abundance of. Now enough with my mindless ranting. On to my actual concerns. Small town infected by zombies where you must camp in small "houses" in order to kill as many zombies that can fit through the doorways. Let's just say, this isn't the first... or fifth... or twentieth time I've seen this. The cold hard truth is, this "concept" has been remade time and time again, and being one of the flock myself, it really doesn't take much skill to make one. Now I may be talking out of my ass when I say "skill" simply because I have nothing of my own to back my words up. There's my say, and I suggest (if you plan to continue this and better it) that you make a varying plane for the ground on which the buildings sit, more variation in the building structure (aesthetics, layout, ect.), and please... please... PLEASE add some flare to make it your own... to make it stand out from the 100 or so other zombie standoff maps.

Well thanks for the criticism, I guess. Honestly I don't know if you're trying to be a **** or genuinely serious about your "concerns". First off, yes I can see where you're coming from. There are hundreds of typical zombie standoff maps, too many. However this is not as you described a map where players camp in a house and kill as many zombies that can fit through the door. Ghost Town isn't about that. The whole point of the game is to keep on the move around the city. When playing the game, you find that the people who try to camp are slaughtered almost immediately. However, the players who move from location to location, tend to survive the longest. Also, if you are really that concerned about people camping, it is relatively impossible as all weapons, ammo, grenades and even vehicles are set so that when once picked up, they never respawn. This in itself, along with the fact that it is just easier to keep on the move, forces players to abandon camping positions.

The Aesthetics, yes okay I understand that some of the map doesn't look like the ****ing Mona-Lisa, especially that piece of **** excuse for a church. I could, if I wanted to, have put more budget into the aesthetics however that, as i'm sure a marvelous forge critic like yourself would understand that it cost a-lot of money which would mean I would have to cut down on the size of the map which I do not want to do. To be honest, given the size of the map, the aesthetics are pretty good, if I do say so myself. Maybe you can't see it in the video or any of the pictures so maybe you should have a look at it yourself perhaps? I do hope it meets up to your expectations!

And finally, you said that I should "add some flare to make it your own". To be honest, I don't know what you really mean by that. Is it because there's no crashed rocket-ship in the middle? Is it because there are no ****ing space-ships floating above the map? Is it because there are no TV presenters exterminating mutant goats? This is a map of a town yes. And yes, there are lots of them out there. But that doesn't mean its not my own. It doesn't mean that it isn't different from every other infection map of a town out there. Every map has its own flare. Its not about what lies in the center of the map or not. Every forger has their own flare, their own style to which is visible in every map they make. Everyone is unique. Every map, whether it has the same concept or not is different and unique.

So anyway download the map and recommend to all of your friends and you will get recon.

Hey MonkeyDonut, despite what Mr. grouchy has to say, the map looks fun to play on, has a variety of areas where action can take place and overall looks like a cool ghost town. Yes, maybe a few minor aesthetics can improve it, and sure it might not be an award winning map, but who really cares if the game plays well right? Some people, (throat clearing) forget that we are here to share our creations all hoping to gain the same respect we have for other forgers that put time and effort into their maps. Oh and by the way, nice video and music selection to give it a feel of a ghost town. I sort of got a "Walking Dead" feel from it, especially towards the end. Nice job on the map and video and from one forger to another, thanks for spending your time creating this map for us to enjoy :)

Long story short, It's more the latter than the former. Just the way in which I present these concerns come off as dickery.
