Agree with cluck and pyro. Forcing the judges to submit a map will make the judging process biased and/or cause a lot of potential good judges to withdraw because they don't want to submit a map
We need someone to vouch for us? I'll go ahead and vouch for Organite. I guess I'll throw my hat in the ring as well. I'm sure that being an ex TG vet is some qualification.
You beat me on seconding organite for my own suggestion. *seconds mingo* FM, we prefer not to refer to rank on Forge Hub as it promotes spamming, and at the rate you posted in your first two days on the site getting to that rank wouldn't be that difficult. No one's going to bother making proxies and risking a ban just for this.
Need a vouch now?ok then I guess it makes sense.my name is off the list unless someone vouches for me or am I like on a list for vouching.srry I am a bit confused lol Oh and it looks like I need a reason I should help judge. I think I would make a good judge I have been on the site for a while and i have learned a lot about map design and I believe I can tell a good map from a bad one.this alone however does not make me much different. I am a very outgoing person and would work well with whoever I would be put with.i am a perfectionist and could offer feedback to the map creators while offering critisizm.
I'd volunteer. EX RH UNDERGROUND CAKE PARTY! But alas. I was part of the review hub, broke a massive amount of maps that creators thought they had patched, spent many an hour playing the best, and the worst, maps (I had the lowest review ever on RH until Pac coincedently broke it by 0.1 -_-)
If you were a contestant, and are not on the ballet don't fret, either you didn't get vouched for, or no reason. Sorry to those who didn't make it, and congratulation to those who did.
Added your poll. Results are hidden after voting right now, if you want them to be public you should be able to change it if you click edit poll. If for some reason you can't and want it changed contact me.
I kind of want to see the results when it's over, so that I can lose all of my respect for anyone who voted for themselves.
I can't say who I voted for..but let's just say I went with someone whose name is also an adjective and an animal *winkatConfusedFlamingo*
I suppose I can sweeten the pot with the fact that I was a judge in the original WC contest. Also, I vote for ****.
Not putting in a vote because I think voting for judges is silly, especially with it open for anyone to join. Judges in a forge contest need to have some serious competence with forge, which is why I would expect to see Flamingo and Organite up there, as they have proven through the TG/RH and their own maps that they know what they are doing. Not to be a douche, but I don't see the other contestants as having the needed experience.
Not trying to be a douche either, While I do agree with you that Organite and Flamingo are the most qualified for judging, I don't think they are the only qualified people from that list. Just because they haven't been involved with the TG or RH doesn't mean they aren't qualified. Cluck, for instance, provided numerous helpful feedbacks during the whole Smackdown map frenzy, which definitely helped a lot of forgers in their design process, myself included. If you look at that plus some of his more recent maps, it definitely shows he is qualified. Auburn too has been very helpful lately both in and outside of the Guild. His many recent feedbacks has shown he knows a thing or too about map design.
Along with what Dax said, I also became a loyal in the review hub. I've held custom lobbies for the community cartographer's objective contest, where I also gave map feedback. I have also been a member of this website for three years where I provided numerous amounts of commentary on many individual's maps. I have no idea why you think I wouldn't be qualified.
I am very much on board with cluck being a judge. He did very well in the Review Hub and has more recently held feedback sessions for the 1v1 maps. He is more than qualified. I can't speak for everyone else because I don't know them, but I'm sure they wouldn't make horrible judges either.
