As all of you may know the Summer Olympics are going on. I just wanted to know what is your sport and why do you like to play it. It doesn't matter if it's a winter or summer sport and if you play it or not. My sport is Hockey. I first learned how to skate when I was 4 years old and now I am almost 15 and I am very good. I like hockey because you need to know how to skate. It isn't like other sports (soccer) where all you need to know is how to run :|
Also hockey is a canadien sport, and I LOVE Canada.

    Oh Canada...

Up until the beginning of summer, I boxxed. It all started with me wanting to be "cool" back in middle school, so I convinced my parents to let me join a local gym, although I was not allowed to participate in matches. I was not expecting the amount of exercise involved and hated it, but because my parents had already paid for a one year subscription, I had to go, haha. Nevertheless, it grew on me over time and kept going for another 4 years. I absolutely loved the rush I would get when sparring, it was fun. Than the gym went out of business in May. My coach and some other trainers actually went to another gym that's a little bit further from my house than the previous one, but I was thinking of joining that one. I don't miss the running though.

If you LOVED Canada, you would know their national sport is lacrosse, dawg. Which happens to be my sport. Started playing in 4th grade, all state in high school, played a bit my first year in college but kind of got tired of playing competitively. I still **** around with friends and stuff for fun though. A helluva lot more fun than basketball or baseball

I grew up doing a little of each (soccer, snowboarding, tennis, swimming, volleyball, pole vaulting/track), I never really stuck with one as I'm not the best athlete >.<

Yes, I know lacross is our sport, but there is more hockey in Canada then in the US or other places. Never forget that Canada always had the best hockey players, like me ;)

Go for it man! Instead of quitting, try asking your coach if you could play a different position. We had a goalie for 2 years who asked to play attack his junior year and he ended up tearing it up, by far one of our best attackmen on the team

Edit: Oh I didn't know you were actually from Canada, Tofu, cool.

    Soccer, soccer, and more soccer.

Anytime I do anything outdoorsy, whether it be a picnic or a party or something, I have to have a soccer ball. I played for my local rec leagues and will be joining an intramural team in college this fall.

Other than that, I enjoy playing basketball a lot. I've gotten fairly good just from playing on our net in the driveway and a few of my friends like to just shoot around.

Soccer(football) as well. Been playing since I was a little guy. I played for a team that traveled quite a bit when I was 16, but the traveling gets very old.. so I played for smaller local teams since then. I just finished up my high school career with a district and conference title. I have thoughts of joining the college team, but not this year since I'm still battling a bum knee.

    Also, Arsenal FTW.

Football, I play defensive tackle. I only played in high school and made some of my best friends from it because of the daily struggle of practices and the glory of the wins. I'm going to try out in college.

Rugby, I picked up a year ago and I love it. Awesome tackling and anyone can run with the ball. I scored a try once it was awesome.

Yep, I might have a ****ed up knee when I get older along with brain damage but collision sports are for me.

Rugby I a little like soccer, but it is so much more interesting to watch and to play. In hockey I am a defenceman so I take and give many hits. I got hurt a few times myself, but it's normal.

I feel like rugby has a little bit of soccer influence and football was influenced by it.

I'd play hockey too if I learned how to skate, never tried but I've always admired the sport just like basketball.

It isn't so easy to learn, but that is if you actually want to play hockey. If you really want to learn try rollar blading first, you will learn faster on skates if you learn/know how to rollar blade. You got nothing to lose try it.

Yeah I've been meaning to do that and long boarding it's just that I need to buy either of those and I don't ever have a lot of spending money because of my car payments and savings.

My favorite sport undoubtedly is soccer. Despite not being in shape, I get out and play once or twice a week. I mostly the constant pace in the game and the skill of using your feet.
