Everyone has a hard time placing walls, including my self, and for many reasons!

1.They look crooked from the side
    2.They are alwasy falling
    3.They never match up

    Solution!!

Easy, simply spawn a box (double works better) place it down, put the wall up against the box, and it will sure to be staright!!! Works great everytime!!

Hope this helps many of you stressed Forgers!! I know it helped me!

yes...now the next problem symmetry...its freaking annoying... on my next map (viewable sorta in the Premium section) I hadta spend a whole day redoing the "finished version" because it left a HUGE gap, now its perfectly symmetrical...is there an easier way?

You mean spawn a box. A crate is not anchored. A box is, and comes in the "double" variety.

    Be more perfect.

Useful tip for those having trouble with the walls.

If you don't mind forging in split screen, simply turn on your second controller, position the second monitor way up high above the map, and glance at the bottom portion of your screen everynow and then and see if anything appears "off". Easiest way I can think of.

i have used this wall placement technique in the past, and it has never failed me.

to solve your problem sargent sarcasm; all you have to do is combine the previousl stated method and the interlocking method. this will nicely plug your gap. if the gap is just half a wall, you can use a sign. signs are the same height as a wall and approximatly half the width.

Hah, the original post made me laugh at its simplicity and intelligence. It's so easy, but I must confess that I never thought of that. =P I just sit there are scream at the television.

I second billsfan. This board needs more people who post helpful things rather than derisive comments. Welcome to ForgeHub, fellow nice intelligent guy!

No offense, but if you can't figure out that using a double box will straighten your walls then you are not the brightest bulb in the box. Yea this is very informative post for those lightbulbs that are quite dim....

That'd be me, rusty. Also, this is great for a lot of newcomers. No need to be bashing us less intelligent ones. We all have strengths...some of us are just strong at making, like, smoothies, instead of Forge maps.

I use this most times I can (I prefer making maps in the air so it doesn't work cuz the box isn't even straight to begin with). Another problem is when your dealing with single walls in tight areas, boxes are sometimes hard to place. I didn't realize this until a while after Foundry was released lol (oh the pain of it at the first foundry map I made).
