Firebird Map Pack II Hey guys just thought I'd post the second edition to the Firebird series that Ive co-forged in Dr. Killmore/Kyler X2. Please check out the first map pack here if you want to see those and the new 343-friendly DL links for map pack 1 as follows: Download Traxus Download Crane-Works (currently not found) Download Suspension Download Bermuda THE GAMETYPE If you dont know what Firebird Slayer is, let me put it simply: it is an ingenuitive halo experience using jetpacks only! No armor lock, no active camo, just jetpacks. Everyone using air combat makes the game like something of its own, and on these maps made specifically for Firebird Slayer, the experience is truly amazing. Everyone I play it with says so. Time to catch the disease. MAP 1: Big Rig Download Big Rig This one is the biggest of the map pack and offers a lot of open ground along with some open air. There is a close-quarters basement level deck below the top deck, making for some ground-to-air firefights. There is a lot of openness, but also a lot of things to use for cover, and as flank routes. We've seen a lot of epic escapes, comebacks, and victories here. Take a look the basement area The left side of the Rig. The top of he tower has a Sniper the hook on the crane has the other sniper this makes the map interesting. Shade Turret Ships hover around the Big Rig. Players can use them but they arent very efficient. However, they can be used well to take down the Falcon that spawns later on the Heli Pad MAP 2: Septic Download Septic Septic is an extremely vertical map, and, until recently had a lot of power weapons. However, the weapons are corrected, and Septic is a lot of fun. This one looks small, but simply the vertical-ness of it, makes it truly unique. You can fall from the top and maneuver your way through the pipes until reaching the bottom. Finding screenshots for this one was very difficult so check out the cut-out view. the screenshots dont do any justice at all. its better than nothing. this really is a favored map please play it to get the feel of it. The sword spawns back there. Swords+Jet Packs=Epic an open pipe reveal another weapon. This is a good area to get a good piece of ground looking up at the pipes and obstacles above you. This map is very tall but many man cannons make it easily traversable. MAP 3: Skylands Download Skylands Skylands is just epic. Nuff' said. This is the newest one I've been working on and have tested religiously, and it came out well. There are a few man cannons that get you around the map quicker and are useful as a way of gunning down guys without using your jetpack. Surprisingly, this one was the map that had the least amount of accidental deaths. There are a lot of things to land on, but its not too cluttered. A lower view of the beams and obstacles to land on a very clever accessible section of a walkway between buildings. there is a Sniper in there, but it can be hard to use on this map sometimes. this one is a bit more close quarters the satellite has a man cannon that shoots you across the map there is a turret here. it can be flanked via direct path behind it via man cannon. IMPORTANT FIREBIRD TIP: there is NO camping on firebird slayer. They will find you. and they will kill you. if they dont, Liam Neeson will BONUS MAP: Transmission Download Transmission Even smaller than Bermuda in Map Pack 1. This one is meant for very small groups. There is no Firebird King supported here. The map is almost symmetric, making it unique and hectic at times. Dont fall in the middle. this one was mostly from Kyler X2. If youve liked anything youve seen, then check it out! I actually like these. seems like it would be fun for the gametype too. Actually there's a gametype called dragonball z and Ive been looking for maps to play it on and this is the right thread for that. I love the verticalness to the map. While it still keeps amazing aesthetic theme. The huge dish, and crane and open pipe are great examples of that. I have a feeling people are gunna hate on you for these kinds of maps, but I like em.
Must say these are pretty cool.however I think you should make it so that you can not get on to the crane on big rig(which would include getting back) I may be missing something but it looked like the only way off was through jet pack.
