*PLEASE NOTE* Due to various notifications, I would like you to know that the minimum players should be 12 *NOTE ABOVE* Hey guys, This map is to mark my entry and my friends entry in to the forge world. I'm Swindy KILLZz and my friend is DonutDuffer I'm still learning what works and what doesn't so any feedback, be it positive or constructive criticism would be very nice The custom gametype makes for zombies spawn at the start, however if you feel like experimenting, please let me know which works well for a full lobby. The spawns should be sufficient for a full man lobby, but if spawn errors occur, let me know So here is the overview of the map, which will contain my personal opinion on these sections(my opinions may contain spoilers about the more intricate details of the map: It is a linear infection map split into 3 sections. Section 1 Survivors must battle their way through the cave system and hold out at a rock fall until a gravity lift spawns to help them pass this block. *My Opinion on this section* Ok, this bit I quite like in my opinion but it is close quarters and I don't think the zombies will fare well, but I'm not sure as I haven't had a chance to try it with a decent sized lobby. Picture Section 2 After traversing the rock fall, the remaining survivors must fall back to the beach landing, and entrance to the fort. They must then survive long enough for the engineers to blow open the gates of the main compound. At the beach survivors will find the equipment left by the occupants of the bunkers *My opinion on section 2* This section I am more confident about, however the zombies may die frequently due to the open nature of the beach landing. Also, I have made it so the zombies can teleport to the top of the compound and jump down over the walls. The top is fairly high up but I have put a sloped wall with walls sticking out a adjacent angles to slow their decent and minimise any fall damage. Picture Section 3 All remaining survivors are pushed back into the compound where the compounds secondary defence is. Bullet proof glass allows for viewing of the entrance but all the remaining survivors see is there certain doom. *My opinion on Section 3* Ok, so the fact that the main entrance is the only entrance may be this sections demise but other than the, I think this section is ok, lots of cover for the zombies and ammo for the survivors. Picture Thanks, Swindy (P.S If you do play this map with a decent sized lobby, can you send me the replay d^^b)
First of, I'd change your minimum amount of players from 2 to 10. If the game starts with 4 zombies, you want to have at least enough humans left to actually be able to play the majority of the map. Except for the fact that I do see heavy influences from THFE, the map looks solid as far as I can tell from the pictures. I'll wait for Elliot to check out this map to hear what it plays like. (Have a freaking busy schedule for my own lobby already)
Why would the game minimum players be 2. Infection best plays with 12 players minimum. The part where you have struts, that takes out 450 budget. Those struts are not even very aestheticly pleasing.
As I said in my post, I am new and still learning the ropes of making infection maps But thanks for the feedback I'll change the minimum players Or maybe I can't, I'll put it in as a note in the main post
The map itself looks decent but those turrets look amazing! Although some of the aesthetics indoors could use some improving.
