ARGONAUT Introduction SUP. Argonaut is game inspired by BeastBall, made by Vyctoriouz. I wanted to recreate the map in Reach due to it simply being one of my favorite games back in H3. Both are fairly similar, teams of 2-4 fight over a neutral Ghost, in hopes of driving it into the other team's goal. But they are different in many ways, and Argonaut is more of a spiritual successor. The Game Like I said above, Argonaut is a fight between a neutral ghost and defending your own goal. I like to play with four people, but it's compatible for 16. It gets a little crazy when you get above 8. Anyways, the only method of dying is by getting assassinated, even the Ghost cannot kill you. Scoring is harder than one might think. Just like in BeastBall, the Ghost needs a decent amount of speed to score. It is also difficult to score from the sides, but possible. Players are equipped with a Concussion Rifle and Sprint. Video YouTube - Argonaut‏ Screenshots Screenshots are a bit old. The new map has more distinction of each goal. Anyways I hope you guys enjoy playing some games of Argonaut. Thanks to all of the testers and anyone else who voiced feedback. A link will be at the bottom that will take you to the Argonaut fileset. Again, enjoy. .
The test games I got on this were pretty enjoyable, the concussion rifles work well with the gametype, and the inability to splatter is a plus.
Haha, this looks like a ton of fun. I love the idea, really. I love mini-games and am always looking to play a few good ones. If I get a chance on Friday, I'm going to give this one a try and add it to my download list. Great work. Love the roof, btw.
Aaaahhh. I will definitely give this a shot soon... but GAWD I miss that grav hammer! It seems like reach added some pretty useful mechanics to this though. I like how the ghost respawns right as it scores, without ending a round. The one way shield doors also give a much less crowded look to the goals, while keeping the same general function alive. Very nice.
Haha I remember this map. It's really fun, and one of the few minigame maps that works the best when you only have a few people. It got overlooked way back when, but it's a quality game that I enjoyed and I would recommend it if you like mini games in general Two problems I had with it though: It was very difficult to score from an angle and it didn't work well with a lot of people. I wonder if having two ghosts would help with the second problem?
This map is alot of fun, I remember playing on it with so many friends. It is a tone of fun. Good job.
