Overgrown

    Overgrown


    Overgrown is a completely desolate, isolated, broken down antique to remembrance of former civilization. The streets are destroyed. What's left of the buildings are in danger of caving in at any moment. The town... is Overgrown

    The ground is NOT BUMPY although it gives that appearance, theres just a lot of flatobjects on the ground in some areas and never causes FRAMERATE issues, depsite what you may think. Theres open areas, tight corner areas, narrow areas, andeverything inbetween. Overgrown is good for slayer, team slayer, team swat, and of course: infection.

    The storefront. You can go upstairs into the loft, or stay downstairs and fire through the open windows.

    The pub. there is a bigger upstairs area but is more broken down. The roof is accessible simply through climbing the rubble. There is a ladder and slope back entrance to the pub

    now go back to the main street view and take the left path around the left side of the main museum building in the middle. This is called the green route

    ...or if you choose to enter the the front door of the museum, you end up at the front desk

    take a right when you walk in and see the detroyed roof on the right. theres also an entrance to the museum that takes you there.

    Well I certainly love the theme you have running here, kinda reminds me of Bayfalls City (overgrown city). I'll be sure to DL later. Impressive!

    Did test for split-screen 2-4. Because I'm assuming there's no way that all those pieces in the middle on the floor won't cause framerate issues.

    iv tested this with 12 people. no framerate issues... at all... not slightly, not partially, not a lil bit, not "eh I can get over it, its not much," not "wow I can barely notice" not AT ALL. The game engine can handle a few pieces on the floor of a map...

    tested this with 4 players on one xbox, it froze up in certain spots but i recomend keeping up to 2 players per xbox. map looks intersting and SWAT is for n00bz. I could definatly see this playing well with infection tho.

    i didnt know people still used split screen i hadnt tried it with more than 2 people on the same box. wow... the game engine sucks... anyway can someone comment on the layout of the map itself, instead of things that bungie should have spent the money on to eliminate... oh bungie. we still blame you

    i like and see the idea and way your going for but the buildings dont realy look like buildings tbh, id say if you can crack that then your onto a winner of a map, now a days people love wrecked city maps so it is the safe way to go when making maps but youve got to get the balance right which i think youve done realy well here tbh so well done kee it up

    thank you for the encouragement. The buildings look more buildingish once your in the map and can go in them. the screenshots dont do it much justice. I wish I could render a video of this one

    oh and:

    Because I rape to hard in Multi Team, and yes Bungie made a broken forge:(

    Why do you lie to get your map attention? The ground was pretty smooth for all the random junk merged into it, but there were still quite a few minor bumps and a few major ones in the central area alone. I doubt this could hold up as a competitive swat map or be fun with those issues and others with your building style. In the future it would be best to let other people decide your map is good for something like swat because if you say it is and it is not I at least will assume everything else you say is meaningless as well.

    Also please replace your download link with the english version since it's currently in french:

    i have no idea why its in french i cant change it, thats so weird.. and actually I go by what others have said when playing with them. I didnt notice any minor bumps. the middle of the road has a lot of objects to cover some minor z-fighting but I never found any bumps or framerate issues honestly. im not lying.

    and cmon the whole thing about my building style wasnt called for. dont be a **** man. i got people together and all played swat on it and it was really fun. but cmon dont be one of those people that makes themselves feel better by bein a douche on forgehub. not cool

    I just mean good swat maps are unusually clean and smooth. If you get a bunch of randoms they'll think swat is fun on any map because for people new to the gametype it can reduce the impact of a lot of issues with a map.

    I forgot to mention there were some patches of z-fighting around the map too. When you work with a design that's meant to be messy though I'm sure it's difficult to pic those out though.
