    Hey guys!

I finally got around to taking some screenshots of my latest nearly finished project, called Infection Wars: Deadborough. This map is meant for Infection gametypes only, and one gametype in particular will perform really well on this map, a new gametype which I will release at the same time when releasing the final version of this map.

You might think that the forging is a little sloppy in some of the areas, and I fully agree with that. I myself don't really like all of the looks of this map so much either, but believe me, it was for a reason, and you'll understand by the time I release the map.

For the rest, I'm going to leave the guessing to you...
(Some of you already know my plans for this project, and I would like to gently ask those people to leave that information to themselves, or at least not post it here and killing the surprise effect. :p)

Yeyyy, looks good REM. The forging isn't all that sloppy, I think it look good :) Have you done any tests with the gametype? Or are you still developing it?

I ran a first test several months ago, but it turned out that I had to tweak things, so I'm now thinking of a way to do that. I might test it again next Sunday, because I consider the zm_Outbreak version pretty much finished. And I think that the BIOC sign ups are willing to help me test it in a proper way. :p
    And thanks Ell! ♥

When Waterfall showed me this, the first thing that really stood out to me were some of the buildings. They are very unique in my opinion. However, if I remember correctly, there was a pit that lead to a dead end somewhere on the map.

    A tank? In Infection? Preposterous!

    You'll see, you'll see...

You have to tell me where you found that pit. The only place I can think of is the open space behind the tank, but I put plenty of soft kill zones there, and it's pretty obvious not to go there anyway.

Like Elliot said, the forging isn't that sloppy. The whole theme is supposed to be destruction. Anyways, I like the theme you have on here. It looks like some city block under construction, since there are some buildings that look like they're unfinished. So far it looks great, can't wait to see it released!

    Haha I know it's you :D

Yeah well the idea behind the looks of the buildings is rather destruction than construction, because it takes place in some neighborhood in the back of an English town, and most buildings were destroyed as a result of the civil war that broke out before the epidemic.

There is a huge difference between destruction and sloppiness. In my opinion, you can destroy everything you want, except the floor. (If you still do, you need to use invisible smooth floors on top of the destroyed stuff)
When I look at your pictures, you need to fix your floors

It's a shame not many people showed up to my last testing date.when I first flew through this on forge I thought the warthog will play well on the map I noticed a few spots the vehicle pathing could be better but it DOSENT matter since its supposed to look destroyed.
Either I downloaded the map before you put in the tank or I just didn't see it,but I have play tested infection maps with tanks in them before with IFLOD and sometimes they were overpowered and sometimes they worked very well.it all depends on the map.im not going to discount the tank yet because it looks like it could work.

Hey I remember playing a custom on this, I also remember there was areas that needed to be patched and humans would camp the zombie teleporters. I like how you can drive the warthog around the map, while you can holdout as well. It was actually pretty fun besides all the camping.

I know the floors look a little sloppy, because I used easy-to-handle objects from the blocks section, but I kind of had to if I wanted to stick with the overall layout and size of the map. And I have to stick with that layout and size in order to make this map compatible with that specific gametype. (It needs to be big and there have to be tons and tons of hold out locations.) Normally, I would put more effort in making a city map look good, especially since it's far from original, but this time I didn't really have a choice.
It's hard to describe without already giving things away, but just check out the thread whenever I post it and you'll probably get it. :)

Yeah I know, I think I could improve just a little bit on the roads, but like you said, it's supposed to look destroyed, and it works the way it should anyway. (It's definitely smooth enough.) Racetrack forgers won't like it too much anyway because of the "tapering".
The tank works. Especially with that specific gametype.
It also works with the regular gametype but I took it off anyway to put more focus on warthog usage. Oh, and on a side note, I actually already made this map with the tank ages before iflod101 did, I didn't steal his idea or anything. I liked that he used it too, it can definitely work on Infection maps if you do it right. :)

The zombie teleporters have been fixed, thanks for checking!
Yeah, in terms of gameplay the map it reminds me of the most is Raptors. However, the looks of that map are completely different :p

Thanks. What's your opinion on the weapon placement? I tried to make everything balanced enough.
