"See, right from the start, it was different. It wasn't just on the news, it was in the streets and coming to get you".

Ghost Town- Halo Reach Map - YouTube

'Ghost Town' is a map where players are scattered around a desolate city where they must scrounge what little ammo they can find to defend themselves against the infection. Players have the option to move by foot, roaming the outskirts of the town or utilize the various vehicles around the map or players can stick to the buildings and camp it out in one of the many buildings including:-

    Hospital

    Bar

    Subway

    Park

    Chapel

    Food Court

    Car Dealership

    Gas Station

    Random Shops etc.

Whether players choose to work together or be a lone wolf, 'Ghost Town' will keep you at the edge of your seat and will make you do whatever it takes to survive. The infection has begun, can you survive?

This map looks really nice and I love the theme. The only thing I don't like is the doors made out of capture plats because it destroys all the lines of sight for the humans and basically causes all players in that building to be trapped and doesn't allow for very fast reaction time because when they do get to shot the zombie the zombie is already right in front of them. Besides that I have to say this map is good and looks cleanly forged.

I would try to submit this to BIOC for use in there customs lobby and I would like to say this is pretty impressive for a first post.

Cheers man and criticism well accepted. I know that it makes it extremely hard if a human is behind one of these doors to actually kill a zombie, however a have two reasons why I put them there. 1] I think the map would look retarded if all the doors were open! 2] I think if they weren't there, yes it would be nice and easy for humans to get a kill however that's not what i'm going for in the map. Most infection games have it relatively easy for humans and tough for zombies, in 'Ghost Town' I wanted to flip that around so that players will fight to survive.

Cheers for the reply and ill check out your map also.

It can also work the other way around. I noticed there are a lot of windows near most of the capture plate entrances, which means that humans are actually able to guard it after all, as long as they work together and don't neglect their tasks.
In the end everything depends on how well the creator worked out the design of the room, concerning the capability of guarding it. Those windows seem to do a great job when it comes to guarding the room or door(s), but that only goes as far as I can tell from the pictures. I would have to take a closer look at this map in a testing lobby sometime to see if there are no rooms on the map that are simply too hard to defend.

So yeah, basically those capture plates can either work with or against you, it all depends on the way you fill it in.
However, there's something else that should restrict people from using too many capture plates on their maps: framerate drops.
Anything that reflects light or causes it will increase the chance of having disco effects and, as a result of that, lag on your map. Glass and capture plates are tow main things that bring on framerate issues, and taking into consideration the fact that you used a lot of both on this map, my heart is in my mouth. But I'll take the time and check this out sometime in one of my future custom lobbies, cause this map looks absolutely great and it's obvious you put a lot of effort and thought into it.
Thanks for submitting it as a testing map for BIOC, by the way :)

Looks amazing, I like the fact that you can use the warthog to navigate around the map, or you can go in a building or find a place to hold out the zombies on the streets. The music theme fits the video pretty well too, nice post.

That intro video was sick. And also, nice map. Looks like it plays well from what I ponder.
