Excite Goose Track 002, A track of choice and risk, A track of jumps and explosions and I'm sure you get the idea the video shows you everything you need to know download and enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMfkoPojKF0
Okay let's get started... This map looks very fun to play but there are many small (and some bigger) things I can see just from watching the video. 1. I suggest rounding the ramps a little more to give the player a smoother and faster ride 2. The part near the end with the jagged sideways blocks appears to slow down gameplay a considerable mount, they also aren't spaced equally so it looks a bit messy (don't forget about the coordinate positioning) 3. It seems the colosseum walls are very steep and people wouldn't even hit them most of the time. Maybe you could replace them with a landing ramp. 4. Last but not least I've noticed some of the ramps and turns are just made of bridges and ramps... The walls on the sides really become a nuisance if you hit them, the entire path gets clogged up. I was just thinking you could either replace them and make them wider or simply flip the upside down to get rid of the rails entirely. Other than those points this map does have a lot of potential. The layout looks good from the video and you seem to know what you're doing. Keep forging!
No offence, but this track looks sooo unsmooth. Other than that, it's also very uninspiring, and just boring in general. There are so many opportunities you can go for with race, and even though I'm not an expert at forging racetracks, I do know when a track can use more work. Try to implement smooth, banked waves. Try to implement jumps. Try to implement speed. The area with the 1x4 placed in a 45 degree angle is just killing the speed of the track. Please don't use those kinds of sections, at least not if they're that long, unless you're turning the whole track into such an obstacle course. Right now it doesn't fit with the rest of the racetrack and seems to be really annoying. A positive thing are the traps, I really like those since they add another challenge to racing in Reach. But once again, I think you can come up with more and original ones that the ones you used in this track. For good tips on how to make cool racetracks, check out ducain23's channel, or the PFR.
No problem, that's what we're here for at ForgeHub. (I guess I also speak for iTz Kneecap eH now.) If you ever have questions concerning forging in general, just contact me. I don't mind helping out random people
It sure seems like a fun race, I like the fact that you don't go and make it all smooth and crazy, but you give it a new turn on the ideas of "RACE" yeah it's kinda bumpy but I give it a 7 out of 10! Keep up the good work, I will for sure play this in a custom lobby!
