YouTube - Mountain Laurel - Map Preview - Kitchener Kobra This is Mountain Laurel. I created this map originally to learn how to properly set up an Invasion map. I spent well over 30 hours working to perfect this map and now I believe that it is ready to be played by the masses. It is a BTB / Invasion Map for larger parties. Leave me a comment on what you think The map takes place on a UNSC Air Control Base located on the island but lets just pretend that it's else were Anyways. In Invasion: The Elites are shot down by an Anti-Air Gun. They must escape! and the only way out is to grab the PowerCore hidden within the mountain, to power the ship and get back to the mothership. - The UNSC are unhappy with these intruders and decide it's there job to resist this attack. -- TIER 1 -- The Elites must escape the crash site, and take control of the MainGates. -- TIER 2 -- After taking control of the main gates, a bomb will spawn nearby. Grab it! The Elites now have 2 options. They can take the footpath leading across the FootBridge to the GateHouse, or they can march up the hill towards the PowerCenter. Arm the bomb! Spartans, FIGHT BACK! -- TIER 3 -- After the bomb explodes, it's now time for action. The Elites must now decide how they want to handle this situation. The Spartans now have control of an Anti-Aircraft gun (Stationary Scorpion Tank Located outside of the map boundaries) The Elites have a few options. They can split up and meet up later for evacuation. OR The Elites can stick together and deliver the core to the Helipad, located at the top of the RedBase. The PowerCore is located deep within TheCaves which access is given to once the GateHouse/PowerCenter has been taken care of. A Revenant will also spawn on TIER 3 The Falcon on top of the RedBase may be used for evac if the Elites manage to steal it. If it is stolen(the Falcon), the PowerCore may be taken to it, instead of the Helipad. But the Helipad is still an option (of course While Flying the Falcon, beware of the Spartan Anti-Air Gun GOOD LUCK!
I can't really get a good look at the map, perhaps post some pics without text/invasion boundaries/explosions?
