Hey guys, I've been thinking since REACH came out and I saw the epic size of Forgeworld that someone might be able to create Battlefield Bad Company 2 and 3 type maps with Invasion game type. Anybody know of any huge maps like that? I love REACH and I loved the epic scale of BFBC2 (didn't wind up playing as much of 3). It seems like it could be awesome...?

Unfortunatly, invasion maps spanning across forgeworld are frowned upon. There are good reasons for this though.

I would love to see something from Battlefield translated into Reach, but it just wouldn't work. Two different games, two completely different playstyles.

EDIT: Forgot to answer your question, haha. As far as I know, there aren't any invasion maps based off of Battlefield on this site, but you might be able to find some using the file browser in game.

I think timmypanic was working on a bf map. Something with a big bridge in the middle. Not sure, I've barely played the bf games. This is something I saw on a preview a while ago so who knows what's going on with it.

Bummer about the frame-rate issues, etc. Battlefield didn't have a lot of structures, just a whole lot of space and vehicles. I still think it could work, especially if the forger uses some of the prefab structures and not a lot of pieces.

The epicness of Battlefield 2 was something that boosted it to the top of a new gaming experience for me. I'd love to get that same feeling in Halo.

Speaking of which, does anybody know what this vehicle from Halo 4 is called?:

For that the best suggestion I can give is go play battlefield. One game had the best destructible environment I know of and the other has an almost entirely static environment there's no possible way to replicate the feel of battlefield and the maps are way too large and detailed to ever replicate in forge.

I recall a few remakes but none were worth downloading.

There was one map that was quite good, It was Operation Metro, but I cannot recall who made it. Sorry I can't be more help.

The problem is framerate, Battlefield maps as a whole wouldn't convert well, some have taken smaller parts of the maps. As there is destructable senery in battlefield that effects gameplay greatly, it is not something that can be done easily. Maybe Halo 4 will have improvements like destructable walls , building etc.
I have made a smaller map using part of a bridge to far but it has come to a stand still.
