Hey everyone. So about two weeks back I posted that I would be doing a remake/re-imagination of Halo 2's Waterworks. I finally got some pictures, so consider this the official preview thread. I'll detail a few changes to the map. Spoiler *The map is smaller than the original, but that really can't be helped *The tunnels are more like elevated halls *Replaced the banshees with a neutral banshee (spawn at start: false, 150s), which spawns where the neutral sniper used to. I changed this because it was too easy to spawn kill with two banshees. (It may be overpowering on this map, or at least two of them were) *Added grenade launchers (x3) to counter the banshee *Fixed spawns Overview. Another one. A view of the central tower. That landing pad is where the neutral Banshee will spawn (formerly neutral sniper). Red base in the distance; to the right you can see blue rocket spawn. Red base. Blue base. In both images a Wraith spawns (spawn at start: no, 180s) to the left of the image. Inside the base. One of the side "bases," green base, spawns a magnum, plasma rifle, 2x plasmas, AR and the rockets. Inside. Blue catwalk. Bottom mid. Another view of the middle. Concussion Rifle spawns on the landing pad, and the neutral Banshee spawns on the other side of the tower. Well, that's it. If you'd like to take a look at the map for yourself, just PM me. I'm disappointed you've hardly changed anything since I saw if a few weeks ago. Maybe you couldn't understand us without a mic but everyone was complaining even before you decided to go over the allotted number of tests and cause everyone to quit.
Yeah, I didn't realize back then that you guys were officially testing maps. What was/is wrong with it? Aesthetics? Vehicles? Have any suggestions?
This is a remake i attempted and failed, to pull it off, A duplicate the spawn points of Waterworks, (boot that bad boy up called h2 and play it and keep spawning till you figure it out) copy the vehicles almost exact. Definitely pick up the aesthetic value of the map waterworks was extremely bleak but with reach graphics you can make it look awesome. The key to making water works is symmetry and even balance of spawn and weapon placement, the caves fore and aft of the center area are crucial for making game-play fun. Nothing like flanking your enemy from behind there own base. Maybe loose banshee's there a hassle with no stalactites to shot and smash them with.
