That sucks, although it bears mentioning that he would probably not get the boot option unless you had already betrayed him or one of your other teammates at least once before in this game. There is a little bit of a cushion built in. I rarely get betrayal booted, because I rarely betray teammates more than once every few games or so.

I do think the whole betrayal boot system could use an overhaul though. The existing system is frustrating and hard to comprehend.

Getting booted does suck, especially when the betrayal was an accident. I once got booted because I was playing SWAT, and was aiming for an enemy player, and some noob stupidly walked in front of me while I was still shooting and got headshotted. I'd say the only reason he got the option to boot me was because I was playing splitscreen with a friend and he was being a jerk, so I killed him, just messing around of course.

It's still irritating when noobs boot because they suck at the game, though. The only reason I boot people is when they blatantly go around TKing and being douchbags. Unless they are TKing because they don't want to play the map that got voted and don't want to quit, in which case I make them suffer and inform all the other team members not to boot them too. Because I'm an asshole like that.

After you betray 3 times within 24 hours the option to boot appears.
