All you fans of The Legend of Korra, listen up:
I've been trying to create a Pro Bending-like game and I'm having some troubles. I'd like to ask some of the long-time forgers to tell me if this is possible. I would put up pictures and a description of what I've got so far but that's too hard to do since there's no file sharing.

Here's a video on how Pro Bending works:

I'm curious how the gametype would work actually. Care to explain? The point of pro bending is to push players off of the field to win. How do you accomplish that?

I may not be a fan of Korra but I have an idea-
maybe picking up CPU will give the players concussion rifles, allowing them to push other players out the ring.

Well, I've got a gametype and map already set up, but it's not very close to the real concept. I'm trying my best to perfect it.

But, you know, the first thing I believe anyone would think of is having two teams of guys on either side of a ring floating above water. The first weapon that comes to mind would be the Concussion Rifle. And that's the basic idea of it: Two teams trying to blast each other off the back of their own ring with Concussion Rifles (assuming that the players do no damage to each other).

Now what I've done already is at least incorporated each of the three elements into the game so there are three different loadouts:
Waterbender - Plasma Launcher & Drop Shield
Earthbender - Grenade Launcher & Armor Lock
Firebender - Concussion Rifle & Evade

It's very hard to mimic the actual play of Pro Bending in Halo. The goal of Pro Bending isn't to knock each other off the ring, the goal is to have more territory than the other team (but knocking players off does help, of course). And trying to divide a court up into six zones and having players remain inside those zones is very difficult. It would almost require having referees. That's pushing an honor system to the limit.
Just a quick thought about how I think referees would work, though: Refs have snipers, they do normal damage. When a player is cheating, ref shoots him once. This is the equivalent of a Yellow Card (or "Yellow Fan" in Pro Bending). Second shot would be lethal, a Red Card.

I'm not too sure about the idea about the refs, what if they are afk?

I'm not saying there should be refs, it's just a thought on how that would even work if it really came down to that decision.

Elevate the ring in tiers...slightly. Zone 1 is the same height for both teams...then zone two for both teams are SLIGHTLY lower but enough so that you cant just fun forward and climb back up the little ledge...this will make it so it's easier to tell the line and to not cross it by accident. Zone three would be slightly lower than zone 2 etc...idk how well the line of sight would be if there was a player in zone 3 on one side and a player in zone three on the other but this would also help with making sure if a player stepped back to far on one of the zones they would fall down to the lower tier meaning they crossed the line.

Only suggestion I have to cut out as much honor rules/make them a lot easier to follow

Thanks for the idea, Adelyss. That's a possibility.

I'm just trying to imagine: is there anyway that you can have a game, let's just say King of the Hill, where if blue team controls the hill, the red team isn't allowed inside the hill unless all members of the blue team are outside of the hill (and vice versa)?
Would this only work for Territories?

Sounds like a fun game if you can pull it off. I fear enforcing the zone movement will be difficult if not impossible to accurately replicate without an honour system. However it is possible to make 1 way shield doors disappear and reappear with the insane halo ball gametype. Might be something to look into.

I might try that. I'm just pondering if that's possible because there is such an insufficient amount of shield doors to use for a game like this. They give you four of each size. That's cow poop.
