Heroic was sweet. 2 maps good for 6 v. 6 hogging and 1 awesome forge map for it's time. It also became free. Best Halo DLC of all time in y opinion.
It really depends what for. Heroic expanded the limits of Forge insanely and made the game incredibly interesting. For Matchmaking maps, I loved Avalanche (Legendary) to death.
>MLG Spoiler >Implying custom DLC counts Why not Zoidberg? Seriously though. Foundry was great; I miss the cool switches that you could make there that you can't make in Reach.
Mythic Map Pack. - Sandbox had a bunch of new toys to play around with, golf club, golf ball, tincup. And we got the skybox and the crypt. You can make such beautiful looking maps on that. - Orbital is just amazing. My favorite Halo 3 map. From gameplay to aesthetics, favorite map ever from any halo game. - Assembly, my least favorite of the three. Dont get me wrong, I loved assembly, but not as much as the other two. It was fun to play swords on.
Definitely Heroic, for me personally. Rat's Nest was such an amazing map, definitely my favorite BTB map of all time, and I like Standoff a lot as well. And of course Foundry is a reason on its own to like that map pack the best. However, I've might as well voted for Legendary: Avalanche, maybe not the best for gameplay but oh so sick looking with the snowy environment, Blackout, one of the very best competitive maps of Halo history (Lockout remake), and Ghost Town, the most aesthetically pleasing map I've seen in Halo 3. Sandbox brought us fortune, but I didn't vote for its Map Pack because the maps as mentioned by me above together outweight it, since Orbital and Assembly didn't give me the feeling that e.g. Rat's Nest and Ghost Town did. Don't get me wrong though, I do love those maps. Overall, Halo 3 had some SICK DLC maps.
Iv'e got good memories of customs on Mythic One with my idiot friends (I don't speak with them much any longer). Got to choose that'un.
Heroic - It had Foundry. Look back to that era of the site and that's all you see is Foundry, and for good reason.
Legendary for me. All though I like them all, Legendary takes the cake with its diversity (Avalanche, Ghost Town and Blackout)
Mythic one. I like individual maps from all the others (Rats Nest, Ghost Town) but this is the only pack I liked everything. Assembly- mostly for the visual/aesthetic mood Orbital- a map I somehow never had a bad game on. Sandbox- really blew me away. Someone remarked that, unlike Foundry, the default set-up was paradoxicaly quite good. It looked thrown together but always played well. But as a forger, the shear volume of space was so liberating. I always had a distaste for Foundry because while it was a pure gift to the forging community, everything created on it was by default, too small.
For one, Heroic because Foundry was the innovation for forging. But Sandbox took it to a larger level and expanded forge. Honestly, I liked them all!
i liked them all except the mythic 2, they all had such good maps on them and well just the maps on halo 3 generaly were amazing, i wish icould go on it now and play btb but my mythic disk broke
