Hello Everyone and Welcome to Forge Island Survivor! Forge Island Survivor is the the pinnacle of Forging Challenges. Competitors will be forced to outplay each other in a series of challenges ranging from forging to combating to the death. We start with 8 qualified competitors who were selected on the biases of their reliability and forging skill, however only one can win. Forge Island Survivor will test each players endurance as they'll constantly be facing the threat of execution. The starting 8 players will be divided into 2 teams, each team obviously consisting of 4 players. Both teams will complete in combative challenges followed by a forge test. The winning team of initial challenge will win the right to pick the criteria of the forging challenge. Each episode one player will be executed in a different manner. The player that will be executed will be determined by the loosing team in each challenge. Once the teams have fizzled down into smaller groups a merger will happen where YOU the viewers will determine the fate of each player. With this all stated, welcome to Forge Island, Let the Games Begin. Essentially, it's survivor (The TV Show) but for Halo Reach Forge. Red team's map had some interesting ideas, but I don't think they really got tied together as well as they could have. The light bridge felt out of place and like it had just gotten thrown in as a gimmick, rather than with a reason for it being there... It was still very well forged, though, and looked like it played great. Blue team's map was interesting. It reminded me of some of the interior maps from H2 like Waterworks and the one on the gas mine (can't remember the name.... derp...) but scaled down to work with smaller teams. The windows were really cool, and helped the map look more open than it was. I also thought the upper walkways looked awesome, even if the default parts of the quarry seemed a little out of place. My only real complaint about it was the forge-made rock/metal spire thing that looked like it was meant to be a supposrt beam... it honestly looked ugly imo.... Both the maps still looked really good, especially gameplay wise.
I would have prefered Blue Team's map because of the gameplay, but both maps looked very ugly. I did infact enjoy the contest itself.
Unique idea. It was entertaining. I was facepalming during the intros, though. I don't think every player needs a description. As for the slayer maps: Though I am against symmetrical maps for slayer, I feel blue team's map was significantly better designed.
