Hey guys, I'm back with a quick idea. I'm absolutely dazed with all the advanced forging mechanics and stuff, so I'll just give the idea and hopefully someone can make it, or help me make it. So, basically, its a Spartan stealth mission infiltrating Elite territory to capture a Forerunner core that the Covenant found nearby. However, unexpected company surprises the team and they engage in a battle. First phase is assaulting Covenant sniper towers, like the ones seen on "The Package" when in the Scorpion. The Spartans have a small camp set up with a few crates, some stools, and the bomb placed on top of one of the crates. They also have a campfire, which is made of a red light and some sandbags. Elites spawn near the towers near some rocks. Also, you could have a cave built of Tunnel rocks, with the entrance covered with a one-way shield. The Spartans have 2 loadouts: "Infiltrator" Active Camo A.R Magnum 2 frags ...and the standard "Scout" loadout. Elite loadouts are unchanged. Second phase is a territories, with the Spartans trying to capture one of 2 landing zones for a Pelican to come in and land with vehicles. Loadouts for both are unchanged. Spartans now have a default Warthog at the first phase deployment, and a Mongoose at the second phase deployment. Elites spawn in a small house that was vacated by civilians after the Covenant came. As always, it has a one way shield on the door(s). Outside the house is a Ghost. Final phase is a CTF, where the Core is set in some sort of Covenant structure. The Elites know they are losing the battle, and have a Spirit on site to evacuate the core. Elites spawn inside the Spirit, which is, as always, one way shielded. The Spartans need to secure the core to the Pelican near the second phase objective, and the Spartans spawn in the Pelican. They now have a Falcon to quickly transport troops, and the Covenant now have a Banshee to counter it. Loadouts are the same, and the Spartans still have the vehicles from phases 1 and 2. I have no clue on weapon balancing, it's up to the maker to decide it. I named the map "Dark Zone" with the game-type being "Invasion: Dark Zone". However, I'm not the one making the map, so you can call it whatever. I hope you guys like the idea, hopefully someone will use this idea. If you do, please add me in the map and game-type description for the idea  . Thanks for reading, please give your opinion on the idea!
practice enough and you can compete with the best of 'em. start with a basic layout and build your way up, you always have playtesters to test weapon balance, but i suggest doing some research, a good map may take several days, or weeks, so don't take it lightly. If you want to hit the ground running, 1)look at existing maps 2)get familiar with you're forge objects 3)learn the gametype mechanics, and see how others have exploited certain aspects 4) test, test, test If you have to stop in the middle of the game to figure where to go next, you're doing it wrong. good luck.
