Lawl, I said late 40's (remember when the competitive community would trash anyone that was colonel or below?) and multiple accounts make it easier to get to the higher levels... You didn't really help your cause; you did the opposite. Also, anyone can call themselves an MLG tryhard, it doesn't make them good and boosting doesn't either. So how does playing bad kid boosters improve your competitive standpoint? lolnope. I didn't even understand the importance of highest skill until I was a 35 and had way too much EXP... Thanks though, I don't really think a few 45s are even decent, but it is flattering that you think the only possible way that I got to where I did was through cheating. Also, I was talking about the insanely huge hitboxes, not the weapon. Either way, you need to land a burst on an opponent to get the equivalent damage output that a single shot of the DMR has.
That's what I'm planning to do. How could we set it up to make it a little more of an official community customs thing? Though the customs thing or whatever in the guild section?
I'm up for some Halo 3 customs. I might even try making a Halo 3 custom map. That would be pretty interesting to remake my Halo: Reah map onto Halo 3. Send me an invite Elite Warrior5
I actual enjoyed both Reach and Halo 3. Both these games have things I like and dislike. Halo 3 had a more enjoyable custom games experience.
What? What? Get out of here. Anyways, back on topic. I'll give it a try. This might work. Heck, I'd love if it did.
I got Xbox Live at the dawn of Halo 3, 2009. The only people you would see playing is halo fans and forgers. Luckily, I still got a sample of customs and wishing I would get live near the time I got the game. Seriously, I'd never ever forget that experience. I never felt anywhere else but Halo 3. Schnitzel, you played with the wrong group of dudes. Come over and join us and play what you have been missing from the past 5 years.
OMG I love Halo 3 just because I prefer its physic engine! Halo reach just felt like it was trying to be too realistic. Launching yourself across Sandtrap > Halo 3 multiplayer > Halo Reach
True enough. And I probably would if I had the disc with me. You'd think installing the game on your HD would allow you to play it without the disc... :/
Lol schnitzel. And you said my opinions lacked logic. Halo 3 is without a doubt in my mind the best halo game in all aspects. The campaign didn't suck with crappy arbiter missions. The campaign was hugely cinematic and easy to get engrossed in (halo 2 and reach are the tel campaigns I literally got bored of and just went to do something else) the matchmaking was unbelievably competitive because it was on a platform nearly ALL gamers had internet access on. Even if you were so **** you couldnt run and shoot at the same time you still had a competitive nature in the game (cough jonesy cough). Either way, I was a **** 50, legitimately I might add. It took me 5000 games to get my 50 an I earned it without a team. Even when I do stroll back into the game every now and then I play at a skill level of 40 in most playlists where team snipers is the exception where I play at my actual skill level (which is 39/40) and I am no where near as good nor competitive as I was back in the day. Reach made me a lot less competitive, and reach killed my FPS skill :/ Reach mm sucks. Playlist settings aside... TU aside... The game blows ****
Lmao ... the underlying argument in this entire thread is a complete lol. The whole 'Halo is srs bznss - i r MLG so i r right' has made my day. "...thaaaanks!" On topic: No thanks, halo is poo.
I'm merely saying that the game settings in NBNS HR is superior than that of H3, that's all. You don't have to be good to appreciate it, but it doesn't change the fact that the settings are in fact superior. The H3 BR with its 3 shot non-hitscan spread was horse ****. Being able to swipe the last shot at a players head to get the kill because of the 3 spread mechanics was garbage. It made the utility weapon far too easy to use and drastically decreased the skill gap. Head shots were the easiest to pull of in H3 out of the entire franchise. Coupled with the game's netcode and you've got a garbage game as far as competitive settings go. Of course there is no denying the fact that Vanilla Reach is a worse game. The AA's suck. The random nature of bloom/spread sucks. The further nerfed skill gap sucks. Halo Reach sucks.... Except when your playing NBNS. I will give H3 this... The responsiveness of a strafe was much better. The physics were better. I didn't care so much for the floaty bullshit jump mechanics, but I do prefer the rest of H3's movement mechanics over HR. I suppose the aim acceleration may have been better as well, but I can't be entirely sure on that one.
H3 had better physics and a better sniper, but that's about it. NBNS Reach tramples it any day, minus those features. Every other aspect about Reach is better than H3 aswell. Regardless, I still like H3 enough to probably participate.
pardon me but what exactly do you plan to achieve with this protest/demonstration that shows up on youtube every few weeks with a different set date where we all go on to "show that halo 3 id teh best" or "keep bungie/343/microsoft from shuting the servurs down" (even though they couldn't do that without shutting xbox live down). and sorry to bust everyones nostalgia party but at most you would get 20 to 30 people at most, not enough to make anyone take note. edit: shouldn't this be in the halo 3 discussion area anyways?
You are stupid. This has nothing to do with protesting, it's just people wanting to relive the halo 3 days. Halo 3 has a steady, although not massive, population even without some event going on, so I'm pretty sure 30 people is a ridiculous under estimation. Also, this doesn't look like some weak attempt by a small group of people, it seems pretty legit to me. I'm sorry for calling you stupid, but to be fair, you are pretty stupid
You have lost all credibility. Would you like to continue? 10... 9... 8... 7... Anyway, aside from possibly the stupidest thing I've ever read, I won't be going back to Halo 3 for Matchmaking any time soon, for a number of reasons. I will happily admit, and be the loudest to admit, that I had a HELL of a lot more fun in Halo 3 than I did in Reach, for a number of reasons. Mainly because A) Customs. Seriously, that's pretty much it and B) The maps were great. Halo 3 customs were amazing. I don't know why, considering Forge is much Improved in Reach, but I just had a lot more fun, and a lot more of my friends played customs in Halo 3. Reach is a lot more about Matchmaking than customs, from my experience. However, Reach has a much superior netcode, and the DMR is so much better than the BR when bloom is lowered to 85%. Now, if you were telling me that were all going to start playing Halo 3 customs all the time, I'd be like "**** YEAH, LET'S DO THIS ****". But it's Halo 3 matchmaking, so nah, I'm alright.
A little reminder to the people posting in this thread: This event has nothing to do with proving that one game is better than another. If anyone decides to spout out anymore unwarranted insults from this point onward, they will be infracted. Anyways, continue.
This last point may be the underlying reason of why I actually liked halo 3 more also Back on topic, just because the main event is matchmaking oriented doesn't mean that we can't use this as an excuse to get a few halo 3 custom lobbies going.
