    Obligatory Pistola-for-MVP post.

    Seriously though. Pistola for MVP.

Wait, you have to win an event first to get MVP. Instinct will not win this event.

Rooting for Classic, Ambush, and Carbon as best contenders to win the event. Instinct is too mainstream for me to be a fan. Not that I was a fan from the beginning. Storm Ventures, Warriors, and Str8 Rippin are looking pretty interesting, but I can't root for Str8 Rippin as Ninja and myself hate each other.

I think 4shot has a real chance of being the MVP.

    1. No you don't.
    2. Yes they will.

Lord save us from Halo Hipsters.

I do like Ambush though, good to see Heinz and Cloud teaming again, and bringing back the Ambush name along with that pairing. Those two, Pistola and Nexus was the first team I ever rooted for, and still one of my favourite lineups of all time. I dunno why, but I just can't root for Classic, though they're definitely a fantastic squad and have done well to stick together imo. Really interested to see how Str8 perform, I like SS and Mikwen a lot and want to see them do well. T2 and Ninja either have potential to mesh and pull each other up in different ways, or just kill each other. I can't put too much on Carbon yet, they're an unknown quantity to me and lineups like that don't necessarily equal success. Remember what happened with CASE? Snip3down's still one of the sickest there is, but lineups with him on don't have this guaranteed potential that many seem to assume, he seems a little harder to mesh with than the Roys, Olas, Formals and APGs that have comparable hype in terms of what they bring to a lineup.

You not an SQ fan? I personally love this new lineup.

I wouldn't call myself a fan, but I do like the lineup.

And since when did you not have to win an event to get MVP? As far as I know, no player that hasn't been on the team to win the event received an MVP award. Enable got MVP for winning Dallas, Roy for Columbus, Pistola for Anaheim, IIRC, aPG for Raleigh (even though Blaze deserved it), Formal for Orlando, and Roy and Pistola for Providence. Not a single non-event winner there.

2010 season iirc, will go and check now.

EDIT: Roy got 2nd with Instinct but got MVP at Raleigh 2010.

    Alright.

Well in general, someone on the team that wins the event gets crowned MVP. That was a rare coincidence, and it happens so rarely that it's safe to say that it won't happen in Columbus.

FFA is so boring. Splitscreen only makes it worse.

Lol. Clearly you Reach kids don't remember how many FFAs there were in Halo 2. FFA has been great in Reach so far with the removal of bloom.

Looks like Gundown's statting techniques didn't work too well for him. I might just go to the next event to prove to him that he's terrible at anything but selfishly statting.

Halo 2 FFA's were just as terrible. It's a 'who can killsteal the most' competition more than anything.

Sounds like you don't understand how to play an FFA. Locating the 1-shots is key, obviously. There's nothing wrong with that, nor is there anything wrong with "kill-stealing" in Reach, which is something I know you Reach kids enjoy using. "Kill-stealing" is better for the team than being a selfish dumbass who has a fit every time they get an assist.

I'm not saying it's wrong to killsteal at all. I'm saying I don't like that kind of gameplay. That's why I dislike playing and watching FFA in Halo.
Also, why on earth would you bring up killstealing in the context of a 4v4 when I'm not talking about that.

    Now stop trolling, kid.

Bump. The 4v4 events have started. Reality Check vs Shady Halo Kids coming up next. Hopefully the good matches start coming up later this day.

4v4's been going on for a while, brah.

This series is good, though. Glad they chose the SHK name, I've always liked it, and Ace is playing very well.

Glad to see the back of split screen, can't wait for R5 and some best of 5 series.

    Have started*

My garbage internet connection wouldn't let me change that.

Not a fan of the name. I think the tD name would have been better, unless that's already been taken. It's good to see Ace and Elamite finally starting to get noticed, though.

By the way, did you see Voodoo going off against Instinct? (Despite losing both games) I always thought he would be an up-and-coming player, but I had no idea he was this good.
