I've been sitting on this map for a while now. I came back to it the other day and did quite a bit of work on it, redesigning areas that I didn't like. Some of you may have seen it in its previous incarnation as 1Bay, which was a place-holder name while I thought of a better one. This map was sort of an experiment to take me out of my comfort zone and make a map with lots of natural geometry and use some different pieces. I know this area of Forge World is used quite a bit, but I didn't want to have to block off the entire thing with coliseum walls like so many other maps in this area. This meant I had to find a way of blocking it all off without it looking odd and using the same rocks over and over again. I also wanted to experiment with a few different ways of getting around the map, including one way shield lifts and grav lifts. This means that there are lots of ways to get around the map, something that I was aiming for as I hate maps that only have one or two set ways of getting somewhere. The weapon set is still a work in progress as I'm not sure as to how useful each weapon is compared to others and the placement is again in progress, as I want each power weapon to have some sort of risk to getting it. Feel free to leave any comments or criticisms you have, and if you'd like, you can do some testing for me here. Want a download link? here. Have some pictures:
I seems like you randomly placed your DMRs. There's one located on the same platform as the Grenade Launcher and another on the bottom platform. I would place them somewhere closer to each team's initial spawn. I would also suggest lowering the lift that takes you to the upper platform because the player has to jump to hit it. Another thing I noticed that isn't a huge deal is how you have grenades placed. Right now most of them are in corners where they won't be noticed. I would suggest centering them on the the platform that they are on, if that makes sense. Overall it's a great map and you chose a nice location to put it in. Just about everything checked out nicely. I don't know if 4v4 is suitable for it though.
