    While the water is calm the Ocean runs red with Blood.

    This is Fishing Village...

    Description

    Fishing Village is a map where survivors start out close to the dock and must gather up weapons to face the oncoming zombie horde but how they choose to survive is up to them they face them on foot or they can choose to grab the warthog or the mongoose and try a more "mobile" approach.

    A look at the dock house.

    Well, that's basically the whole map except for the mongoose and the warthog (which are kinda hidden) anyway hope you like the map.

    okay once again nice job on the map. all of the buildings feel open enough not to be campable but the same with the other map the exterior or land portion of the map is lacking cover. it would be so easy for one human to get a long range weapons and just stop the zombies before they even get close to the houses. but other than the lack of cover around the map, the rest of the map is very promising. not campable houses, good aesthetics and a nice theme it feels new and fresh and ilike, i'm definitely downloading it and just saying but for your next map try and include some more cover, other than that great job

    First thoughts?
    I was impressed, which is actually quite rare on Infection variants. Although the idea is not entirely original, the way you approached a village is pleasing. The multiple houses and large play space also adds to the originality of the map as a whole. You could say that the map has gone by my critique swimmingly...

    So, what's wrong with it, and why am I not on my knees, begging for more? There are more than a few reasons.
    One is the vehicles. They are exceptionally easy to exploit, and the map is great size for foot play, but rather small for vehicles. During my plays, players would get into the vehicles the first few rounds, but found they stayed alive longer on foot than in the turret or driving. This may boil down to player skill, but I had a few points myself where I couldn't believe how easy it was to take down the hog by myself. This is not a big problem, as it's just an option, but the option was handled in a way I didn't personally expect.

    A second distasteful field was the dock; if a bunch of survivors grabbed a mid range weapon and ran for the end, it seems like they would never die(Fortunately, after some clever planning, it worked out). Although it seems you tried your best, I suggest adding some LoS blockers on the dock itself, perhaps a crate or two.

    One final con of this map is the filters. A personal preference, I don't really like filters, but if you and the other members do, that's fine with me. I had to go into forge myself and remove the filters after the first run, though. They mess with my eyes.

    To end on a happy note- The possibilities! There was always somewhere new to stay or some new strategy to employ, both as survivor and infected. If they stayed at the campsite, you needed to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge, but if they stayed somewhere like the estate, it was more of a stealth approach, and the hog just added laughs when the driver and gunner were overwhelmed.

    On a final note;
    The map is both wonderful to look at, and a lot of clever tactics and holdout areas for any player. But, and there's always a but, the map is not completely balanced, and could use a touch up in a few key areas.
    G'night, everybody!

    EDIT 2;
    I've played the updated version of the map, and I can see that the DMR has been replaced on the dock and replaced with a Grenade Launcher. I came back to say that I liked this change, and although the DMR Dock is still a problem, the longer times for players to find a DMR and run back to the Dock was just enough to stop them before they returned to their old ways. Good job.

    About the vehicles- After further games, I realized that the warthog actually is useful, if used in cooperation with someone you know and trust. It's now become one of my key features I like to point out when describing it to newer players.

    No further feedback, this is a wonderful Infection map. I hope to see more from you.

    Nice, I knew this was my kind of map when i saw the first pic. So, you did a great job making all the buildings and structures look ruined. Which can easily be a failing task, so awesome job. The cave entrance with the lighting looks sweet. Pretty good looking map for a new user on FH. This guy could be big.

    Very nice job man, i whas thinking yesterday.. maybe i should build an village with an fishing pond and other places like an medical center, but you did it already and i have to say it looks really good, none of the houses look to campable, and i really like the stilt house, and the cave entrace for its darkness. It just fits so well in the map, every building has its own features, the checkpoint is also very awesome.
    I see ur kinda new to FH, i say welcome.. and please stay! :)

    Saw, for the reason there aren't many LoS I was out of budget, and frost the reason there's a warthog next to that base is to entice people to use it and probably get killed, although I've survived whole rounds before as a gunner on the mongoose. And in response to the dock I have moved to the DMR in the dockhouse to the estate and replaced it with the nade launcher. Thanks for the feedback as always.
