So could this topic. Oops, too mean. There is already a thread or two about the shortcomings of Foundry. I'd suggest posting your opinions in one of those threads. Or here. Just post something relevant.
A HUGE open space, maybe in canyons just to set walls. Really high invisible wall, and a place to make to make floating stuff over a empty area (to make a lockout kind of effect, fall off you die). It needs lots of diverse scenery like trees and stuff. There should be different themes of scenery so it doesn't get old for the 10000th time. Every foundry map looks like a goddamn factory. EVERY ONE.
Yeh the foundry is a very good and easy map to forge on...but i think they can make a better i think if they used to the 3 new maps and made a combination of all of them it would be awesome. for ex: the size of Rat's Nest, the versatilty of the foundry and the amazing landscaping of standoff put all three together and bulk up on the budget and scenery and man you could make a new world...that would be awesome.
A big box. Walls that connected at 90 degree angles. No obstructions halfway through the map. No hidden tunnels or other passageways outside the center map area. A level celing. No stupid -Blam!-ing cranes. More diverse scenery (large walls and boxes, small signs and details like computers and such).
Sounds good, would be nice if bungie would have actually made foundry that, rather than adding the bases part with the low ceiling and everything.
Blarg! Those stupid walls. What's the point of having them not 90 degrees? You knew people would be making maps up against those walls..
But come on, we can't let them be better then ours! We need something to keep their quality down a little! Let's build a wall!
a good map is a map that is either capable with many gametypes. or specific to a single gametype that has everything nailed down.
