Tried one game and I honestly hated it. I had no idea what was going on and if I had even been killing anyone. Not my type of game I guess.
That was exactly the case for me. It's so ****ing insane and fast paced that it reminds me a lot of the games of yore. As soon as my three games were up, I was sold, had to buy it. I think this may take over from Halo as my number one online game. Oh, and the Nex gun is sex.
Its a bit fast paced and hard to follow, and I absolutely suck at it, but I love it to death. Possibly the funnest game to kick back and frag out to. Glad I dropped 10 bucks on it.
Takes a little while to get into it. There are good matches, and bad matches, as always when it comes to online shooters. But usually you link up with a few guys and they will stay with you for a while, so you get to learn their patterns and form little rivalries with particular players. In doing this, you start to learn how the game works and the maps become less confusing. Dynamic mutators are a great way to change up the flow of the game, especially in CTF games where they affect the flags properties in interesting ways. I suppose it can't be everyones cup of tea, though. You either like it or hate it. If you stick at it though, it unlocks its secrets more, but you have to be willing to commit to it for a little longer than one or two games.
I'd assume so, only difference being the controller swapped for keyboard and mouse. Unless you use a controller for pc gaming.
No, it's actually a different game. The original Nexuiz was a mod of Quake which ended up as its own game made by Alientrap. Then Illfonic bought the rights to the name and started developing this game (confusingly it's also called Nexuiz, no suffix or anything) on the same principles as the original, but it's built on CryEngine3 rather than the Quake engine. What's more confusing is that this game is coming to PC as well, so there will be two games called Nexuiz, both on PC, which are actually different titles. The original is free but this one will be paid, I assume on Steam.
Oh, really? *eats ones hat* That seems a little... silly, doesn't it? Oh well, I've got one of them now, so I'm not complaining.
