Thought I'd start a thread for this game. Looks exciting as it's trying something a bit different in terms of gameplay and not following the copy WoW then cry when WoW devours it theme. Guild Wars was nothing like WoW, and it had a very strong following. I heard it was coming out for consoles. If that's true, and assuming it follows the same pricing as GW where you buy the game for 60ish and then don't have to pay monthly fees, then I'll probably end up buying it. Don't have a good enough PC to run the PC version, so if it isn't consolized/console version is monthly fee based, then I'll probably give it a miss.
I played the **** out of this game until they nerfed the solo elementalist boss set-up. The second definitely looks interesting, but my computer can no longer run the first one, so I doubt I'll be able to run this.
^fair enough, I've been saying for ages that I wish there was a MMO on console but I always thought it'd be a mass effect game that'd do it first. I reckon I'll go for an asura thief first cos I like the idea of a little guy jumping around yoda style. like this but less evil looking
This will be the only game I'm looking forward too, been anxiously awaiting for it since Eye Of The North came out. Yep, that long lol. I run gw1 at max settings so MAYBE I can run gw2 at minimal? Go to the beta sign up and they will give you a diagnostic. Well, they tested most of the graphics in-house on special-ordered graphics cards from way back when. They're trying to optimize the game for all systems. I love Guild Wars 1 but could never ever get that rich. If you have any left over when you switch to Guild Wars 2, will you please help a brother out? I need some more armor monuments. I don't mean to beg, haha, but if those 500 ectos are really a burden, I'd take 'em off your hands. I'm really excited for Guild Wars 2. The concept art, the models, the lore, the animations, the combat, everything about this game makes me super exited. Thanks for the link BTW.

I'll definitely set up a forgehub group if no one else does. Apparently you can be a member of as many clans as you want but can only 'represent' (their words) one at any one time. I guess that means you can only be in clan chat with one clan at any point? I think it means you can only be part of whatever clan activities they have planned, with one clan at a time. PVP included.
Oh, that makes sense. I'm glad they're making a game from the consumers point of view i.e. allowing you to have clans with different groups of friends/other and making sure the game is balance, rather than reskinning the traditional MMO.
