ACOGs amplify recoil way too much for my liking, so i only use iron sights, holo, 8x, 12x and IR - reflex sights are just a bit weird.
I'm partial to irons in a majority of situations, with RDS on guns like the Famas that really need it. Russian 3.4 is best for nearly every LMG, and the American scope is best on my bolt actions. I've never even bothered with the 12x as I've never needed help getting headshots at any range.
i use the 12x cos of draw distance and to minimise weirdness with the left analog stick. the 3.4 is sometimes useful, but its mount sometimes is weird and i can't stand it. i use iron sights on the AEK mainly, i can't stand the rails.
What a weirdo. I use Russian 3.4 for almost everything. SMG's vary between that and the American Holo. I agree that the FAMAS is ridiculous. However, you can only get one or two kills per mag. I prefer the MG36. Mostly because it was one of my faves from BFBC2, but it holds it own in BF3, so I can still kick butt. In other news, I haven't played this game in a month or so. Idk what is wrong with me... I can't seem to put the disc in my 360. Maybe I'll just wait until the next patch.
I use a gun exclusively until I get a service star and move onto the next gun. The only gun I have two service stars with is the Type-88.
I generally use the iron sight on most weapons unless it completely obscures your vision (FAMAS). If I do use a scope its most likely the reflex sight (with exception of sniper rifles).
Happened again: I currently use a pp7 with holographic site, an extended mag, and c4, which I think is a very nice combo.. I'm only a rank 11 though and i just unlocked claymores. Though c4 is MUCH underrated, i think, especially in squad rush (squad rush is my favorite now, been playing a lot with my good friend). Using c4 to blow up walls and cover is my niche... and jumping out of helicopters.
Finally got a game where I could get in the jet a few times, and I actually managed to destroy a few tanks and kill a few dudes. Now would anyone be kind enough to tell me what earns points in the jet, because apparently that ups whatever class I'm using at the time.

How..the... Like seriously, how the **** do you manage to pull off a headshot like that? I mean sure, everyone is capable of pulling off some serious "WTF" moment in Battlefield; but that I have to say was pretty ****ing cool.

I have a newfound love for squad rush. This has been something I'd intentionally neglect since BC2, so I gave it a shot. Very fun. Same goes for squad deathmatch, however I enjoyed BC2's version over BF3.
