Propulsion v2 By: JJ3672 Download Here: http://www.bungie.net/forums/posts.aspx?h3fileid=35431610 'This high-velocity collision testing facility is now a combat zone. Keep your head up. 4-12 players.' Overview For all of you that remember Propulsion, this is the updated and final version. Most of the changes were in cleaning everything up and making it as neat or neater than Cagematch. As before, this is a symmetric, team-based (though FFA is possible), medium-sized foundry map with the main feature being two mancannon tunnels launching deadly soccer balls. Max team game is 6 vs. 6, and max FFA game is 8 players. Now, on to the description and pics… This is as much of a whole map overview that I could provide. In the center you can see The H redone with flipped over and interlocked boxes. At bottom you can see one team’s High Launcher, and just above the middle of the H you can see the other team’s high launcher. The H – this is the highest area of the map and the key to winning any game. It acts as a sort of barrier in the center of the map and the only ways to cross it are either over it or through a small tunnel below its center. Control the H and you can dominate the other team on either side of the map. High Launcher – this angle double box consists of a gravlift to push players in and a mancannon to launch players out high above the map. Skilled players can maneuver themselves to land on top of the H, or else they will land near the staircases at the bottom-mid of the level. Each team has one of these. This is an overview of one of the sides of the map. The Brute Shot Cage is in the foreground with the Mancannon Tunnel barely visible behind it. To the left of the mancannon tunnel is a structure of fence walls that branches off from the H and restricts access to the other side of the map. Brute Shot Cage – this fence box is merged as far into the ground as possible to provide a unique overhang and a semi-shelter. Players can barely reach the brute shot by jumping, as it is hanging from the top of the overhang. Each team has one of these. Mancannon Tunnel – this is the main feature of the map and provides high-velocity transport both for players and for soccer balls. Players can walk in under the protective guard (which prevents players from going through the tunnel backwards) and soccer balls are pushed into the tunnel entrance by a gravlift which they spawn on top of (20 second respawn). One-way transport only, and each team has one of these. Players and balls exiting the tunnel will bounce off the brute shot cage and head towards a designated collection area behind the sniper tower. This is an overview of the back of the map (for one team). At mid-right in the pic is the Sniper Tower, at bottom left is a high launcher, and behind the tower is the gravlift which pushes the soccer balls into the mancannon tunnel entrance. Sniper Tower – this is a three-tiered structure consisting of a merged double box and a double box standing upright. The sniper spawns in the tunnel and can be taken to the top by jumping on the step-like series of crates. From the top a player can jump to the edge of the H. Each team has one of these. This is an overview of the other side of the map. The top of the fence wall structure can be seen at bottom, the Rotten Shack can be seen at left, and the gravlift which pushes soccer balls into the mancannon tunnel entrance can be seen at top. Rotten Shack – this dilapidated structure has had its base weakened drastically on two sides. Destroy the pallets to gain access, and then crouch walk in to take the prize inside. Players inside are vulnerable to bounced grenades and gunfire through the fence walls. Each team has one of these. Details and Pickups Note: all weapons/equipment are in the same spot on the other team’s side except for the Rocket Launcher, Shotgun, and Firebombs (which are positioned in the center) Mancannon tunnel exit. A Mauler spawns behind the breakable pallet. To the left of the tunnel farther back is a BR resting against the fence walls. Brute shot cage with mancannon tunnel exit at bottom left. Brute Shot can be seen hanging from cage, and a pair of Frags sits behind the cage by the wall. Sniper tower and soccer ball collection area. Sniper can be seen in the tunnel, Bubble Shield is on ledge above tunnel, and a pair of Spikers rests on the door to the left of the tower. Rotting shack to right and mancannon tunnel entrance to left. Overshield sits inside the shack (is a Camo on the other side), a pair of Frags is behind the barrier, and two BR’s are resting against the fence walls in the background. Midsection of map from one team’s perspective. Plasma Pistol and Power Drain are on top of horizontal double boxes, a pair of Firebombs sits atop the merged tunnel box (with a fusion coil between them). A Shotgun hangs inside the merged tunnel box. Top of the H from one team’s perspective. Carbine rests against barriers, a pair of Plasmas lays in the same spot on the other side (no barriers), and a Rocket Launcher sits above the center of the H. Azure Trail should be up in about a week, as a preview I’ll tell you that it involves floating boxes and bouncing mongeese. I guarantee that it is the most innovative map on Standoff made to date, so you should probably check it out once I get it up. And now…I’m done.
Looks great, love the H design, it's kind of looks like a ENJOYBLE version of Narrows or something.....I despise Narrows -_-.....but this looks good
I actually didn't have narrows in mind when making this, but I guess with the two sides (for each team), raised center, and mancannons leading between bases it could be similar to narrows. Wait a second, the rockets and shotgun are in the same place as narrows, and the snipers are in very similar locations (both underground/lower part of level). And there are ramps to transport players from the bottom near the shotgun to the top near the rockets, just like in narrows. And like narrows there are two side portions of the map and one center portion, separated by walls. I may have done a remake of narrows completely unintentionally. Awesome.
this looks good im going to see some of the feedback from people whove played it before i DL just because of the damned 100 item limit
For those who haven't already seen it, Azure Trail has now been posted. Go check it out and DL/rate/comment.
