I can't seem to figure this out, but it seems like something like this should be in forge. I want to make a teleporter team specific (only the red team can use it). In a pinch, I'm willing to put the teleporter in a closet with some sort of barrier that only on team may cross (blocking its entrance), but i can't figure that out either. is there a way to do this? thanks
You cant make anything team specific sadly.. I wish you could, I've also tried this with kill and soft kill areas so the defending team couldnt spawn kill the attacking team (like in bfbc2) but this doesnt work for anything at all sadly :/
You could make another map where you'd create one way shields in all your doors. But if it's an open sky map it would be difficult. Just an idea.
thanks guys for responding. bummer. maybe we can pray this will end up in an update. really could change type type of maps being made.
For invasion maps if the receiver node is set up in such a way that only spartans can fit in it, it does make an interesting one team teleporter.
You could put the teleporter in with spawn points that are for the team you want the tele to be for. ex:room with one way shield door exit and tele. I know this isn't ideal, but its the only way I can think of.
Have you tried making the item team specific in advanced settings? Im sure theres an option for that! Ill have a look when I get home (at work at the minute).
All you have to do is put a sender node as neutral and the receivers to whichever team and all 3 on the same channel and it should work I'm building an infection map and so far it works
That does not work to my knowledge. I don't think the team-specific setting for teleporters does squat.
Volt, with the setup you described, the teleporters are random. Any success you had was by pure chance. The team-specific setting only affects objectives and spawns.
I only tested it while in forge and I kept switching teams and it kept going to the right one Ill test it in custom games ang get a friend to help test [br][/br]Edited by merge: Well at least it worked most of the time but I guess I was just lucky the first time
