So I was just forging like a beast on a sure to be FHF, and I was disconnected from XbL. I thought to myself "it's kool, max will just save and pursue his great campaign of being best forger ever". So I save and sign back online to work on my map. No, my work of art. I click on that shits, and I get some garbage map with water on it I was working on yesterday. I was like "Calm down, kid. There's no way Bungie could be this sinister." I was a fool. I clicked on "L MAP" at least 50 times, only for that son of a ***** water map to slap me in the face. I felt violated in every meaning of the term. So I think "Maybe Waldo knows some Canadian trick that I am not aware of." Then I wait in a dark room, curled in a ball, for an hour or two, for Waldo to sign on. Waldo signs on like some disaster did not currently take place and ignorantly says "What's up Mayx?". I was appalled. I said "My L Map! It's gone Waldo!" He says some snide Canadian remark about Onslaught, and goes back into silence. How would you feel if someone you expect to comfort you in a time of need, knocked you down and kick sand from your missing L Map in your face? How would YOU feel about that? So I am here to start a petition for Bungie to give me back the map that they stole, and have a movement to ban Waldo from Forgehub, and it's scrumptious features. Hahaha, sounds like a case of Lostslaught to me. Bungie sure does thi salot. It's probably for the best as it could have been better than Onslaught, and we simply can not have such a thing. Stop trying to bring about Armageddon.
I lost a map i worked on for about 2 hours due to this problem. I think i just sat there wallowing in self-pity for a while.
I dont always lose a map like this, but when i do, it thinks a map forged on forgeworld should load up a map on spire.
Well, if this is the overwrite glitch, then there might be hope yet. The map isn't actually lost, it just overwrites another one of your other maps. Go through all of your maps from top to bottom to be sure. I've had to do this twice already this week, and it's the reason that I keep anything I don't want to lose backed up on my fileshare. *ignores potential sarcasm in the OP, and tries to be helpful given the off chance that it's not BS.*
Sounds like a personal problem, zamples. Why don't you just get good at forging? You won't have to worry about the game deleting your garbage maps. TROLOLOL

Save as new every time and you don't have to worry about this problem. Otherwise, it'll happen salot more often.
I tried contacting the above phone number with information about the map, but it just wouldn't work. Then I contacted my phone company to see why it wouldn't work, and they said the number was too long. But I insisted with them that it was the number provided. Eventually customer service called me a <redacted> and then hung up on me. So my question to you is, did you spell your phone number wrong?
Yup. Only foolproof way to not lose it. That way even if the version you are on disappears into the mysterious blue you can go back to an old version. I usually keep the last three saves of any map I am working on. Regular save is just an ass.
Also when loading up a map, even if it's already selected when you enter forge, reselect the damn thing. This helps prevent the glitch where your map gets saved over.
