According to Bungie.net, as of March 31st, Bungie will no longer be able to host new user created content or live stats. My guess is that in the February or March updates to Waypoint, file sharing will be added to take over from Bungie. Seems though, that any old files uploaded to Bungie will remain Bungie.net : Final Transition for Bungie.net Halo Services : 1/31/2012 9:44 AM PST
Inevitable seeing as 343 now own halo. It just means that all your stats will be on 343's website instead now, or at least whatever they are setting up to display stats.
I hope they use a simple service just like bungie does at the moment, and that its easy to navigate around. If it becomes a pain in the ass to view all your pics and files, I think 343 will have failed to keep up the standard that Bungie have set for halo
So video rendering is pretty much the only thing that will be gone (at least for now). I'm okay with that.
It will probably last for a day or less. I'm sure every one can live without their Halo reach stats for 24 hours.
**** yeah, don't have to pay for bungie 343 pro. I was sooooo pissed when they took down the option to buy it.
What's going to happen to all of our links to bungie.net will all the links not work and will people not be able to DL old maps?
I'm guessing that all the maps and such already hosted on Bungie.net will remain on Bungie.net, so there's no need to migrate all your maps links in your posts. Those two highlighted points in the quote make me think that everything there will stay there, but nothing new will be able to be added, such as user-generated content and stats. If this isn't the case however, it shouldn't be too much of a hassle to migrate your links in your maps threads.
