I don't have a harddrive, so that means no fileshare... so how do I show off maps?

Hey! I just recently got into more advanced forging and I am eager to share my maps. But I don't have a harddrive. How can I share a map? Please help.

The only way I could think of is for somebody to put it on their fileshare for you. They'd also have to take screenshots for you.

If that's the only option, I guess its all I can do.

    Step 1: Buy a harddrive
Step 2: Upload maps to your fileshare
Step 3: Post maps on ForgeHub
Step 4: Acquire money and bitches

The file share is not your hard drive, but a system in b.net.

You should be able to use your cloud storage in place of a hard drive. Regardless, I would think you have a file share attached to your account at b.net.

Where are your map files if you don't have a hard drive?

How do you even have an xbox live account or forged maps without a hdd?

I'm pretty sure all xboxes come with a memory card, maps and xbox live can be saved on them.

If they do it's probably a really small RAM. Either way a 20 gig HDD shouldn't be too pricey these days. And like others have said link you're GT to a b.net account.

The memory does not retain anything after you cycle the power.

No, the new xboxes can only hold the 320 gb and the 250 gb. Believe me, I thought I was going to gamestop to get a 20 gb but ended up spending 100 more dollars. :(

I have a feeling we're going to get people confused with 'memory' and 'RAM' and they're nothing to do with needing an HDD to use Halo's fileshare.

So, yeah, Halo 3 and Reach require an HDD to upload things to your fileshare. If your Xbox doesn't have a built in HDD (the new 4GB or the old Arcade version) you need to get one. That the only solution.

If you have the old Arcade; buy an old HDD, stick it on the top. They're not too expensive.

If you have the new 4GB slim; you're probably wondering why you've got all that storage space but you can't upload a few kilobytes to your fileshare.
You can either buy the huge, expensive HDD designed for the new Xbox OOOORRRR....

Get an old Xbox hard drive, break open the casing, stick the actual hard drive bit in to your Xbox. The actual HDD is exactly the same on the old and new Xbox, they just have different casings. The hardest part is getting the casing off but it can be done. I did it more than a year ago, I followed some guides on YouTube.

I have yet to be able to get the casing off of my old 360 so I can fix the CD drive... Is there a good youtube video that I can follow that doesn't require any special tools?
