Hya! I've recently finished (yeah, OMG) the ES IV Oblivion. Read this post the learn the REAL secrets and thing to try/not try things. First of everything, secret identity : GRAY FOX : me (i've finished the thief guild story line). The first gray fox is (tatatatatata) the Anvil count, and also, ''The Stranger''. Things to try: Getting the Wabbajack (deadric artifact) is really funny, and cool, because, the quest to get it is really nice, and second: the effet is owning every body, wabbajacking! »It changes your enemy (monster) to a lower level creature (a troll changes intop a rat...) By anvil abbandonned manor : The lowest price manor of the game : 5 000 $! And it is the most bientiful (with it's own necromancer ghost!). Whit a little of cleaning (kill some lil' and s gentle ghosts...), it will be the best manor of your life! Closing doors trick: water walking: For the ones who dont know, Lava is water. Bring a water walking object for hours of fun! But remember, even with 100% fire resist, you can die in cause of the water (yesh, wtf) Weird stairs glitch.. If you think the crappy Imperials city's Inn are more protected and you'll be in better security : wrong! You can fll from the stairs and get througt the stairways, literrally IN it... Not do: Dont attack the mage guild's master, it hurts... Or you can KIll him, and take his staff to get your ennemies invisible XD
i have made a thread all about the elder scrolls, you may want to move some info there. anyway, here is some random stuff i found. -the monster above bruma or "Underfrykte Matron" probably well known but whatever. -there is also Nath Dyer, whoever can tell me what or who this is and what he is holding, gains +rep.
Kind of hard to tell what you were saying there half the time, but it's nice to see something about things in Oblivion this far after the game's release. To add to the thread, I'll say that a friend of mine found that you could get on top of Skingrad Castle from the courtyard, and if you jump off of it on the outside, you'll fall onto what looks like glass floating on air and suddenly reappear at the entry to the place.
the first two posts are completely hard as hell to understand. but yeah... one time i used the duplicate item glitch inside of a house and FILLED it with watermelons lol like when you walked in it was just watermelons filling your screen and you couldnt move at all lol oh and if you drop a paint brush you can stand on it
Once a deer attacked me and destroyed me. True story. It was so funny. Also I found a Giant Mudcrab. It's in a cave called Greenmead Cave. That cave also has some good treasure in it.
yeah, you can make a stairway out of paintbrushes until you are on top of the temple of the one, or churches, it's great.
But, one of the bast thing: modding your horse: You change horses in dragons... You can fly everywhere, and also make burn little guards! You can fly on city!
Assuming you have knowledge of the game already.. Please don't do these without completing the game already. It takes away the fun and the challenge of Oblivion. Once you've completed it or are looking for a fun thing to do with a new character, give these a try. Duplication (Post-Patch) Get a number of any scroll and have something other than them equipped. Go into your inventory, click twice on the scrolls and drop whichever item you would like duplicated. That's it, easy as pie. The amount of scrolls you have determines the amount of copies. CE Glitch (Post-Patch) CE, or constant effect, allows you to keep the effects of enchanted items without wearing them. Begin with a CE enchanted item, preferrablly a ring or amulet, and duplicate it (two scrolls only) using the above method. You will have two copies of your item. Equip one of them, and start to preform the duplication glitch again (four scrolls only, explained later). Once you've clicked them twice, drop the unequipped item. The other should be taken out of your inventory also. On the floor should be the two copies of your item(2), but the enchantment should still be effecting you. This works because the game wants to drop in multiples to make things easier on you. Instead of dropping one item and leaving the other plus the duplicated ones (making 1 item and one group of two items), it unequips the equipted one to make two groups of two items. The enchantment stays on when an item is removed by something other than the player. You cannot re-equip the CE glitched item, and this glitch is IRREVERSIBLE. It cannot be taken off. It is ill-advised to do this with chameleon, fortify enchantments, or night-eye as these effects can become game breaking or ruining at times. Unlimited Money - Dorian (Post Patch) Dorian is a redguard who lives in the Imperial City (Talos Plaza District?). Before the patch, you used to be able to kill him, loot his body, and take his money which would never disappear. Now, you must loot his body without him dieing in order to do this. First, find his house. You can either cast a paralisis spell on him, or drain his fatigue untill he falls down. When he's immoble, loot his body and take everything but his money. Once everything is gone, take the money and it won't disappear. There you have it. To give him more to start with, Bribe him to get his disposition up, attack him, and then yield him. When he accepts, his disposition will be lowered, so bribe him again. Rinse and repeat.
even though ive found all of those, its good to see another oblivion fan, i really wish it was an mmo and not a reg. rpg
On my 360 copy of Oblivion, I have done virtually EVERYTHING there is to do. I have one achievement left to get, and the only reason I don't have it yet is due to sheer laziness (It's the Duke of Dementia achievement). I bought the copy for the PC so I could have access to the construction set and the freeware modding community. Everybody check out Beyond Cyrodiil, they're basically remaking all the other provinces one quest at a time...it's pretty damned sweet, actually. But yeah, I'm always up for trying out some new mods. If anyone has any recommendations, send 'em my way.
According to a friend, there is a secret (albeit rather useless) weapon that is hidden at the top of a building that you can only attain using the paintbrush staircase. I'll have to ask him about it later for the specifics.
