Sprint Map Download This game is actually not a VIP gametype. It merely uses the VIP setup to give both teams different attributes in a slayer setting. In actuality, the VIP is merely another team member. The red team (who spawn by the border) tries to snipe the blue team members (who spawn at the back of the map) rushing the border before they can reach it. Behind the border are explosive canisters continuously exploding. For every suicide blue team attains from reaching the border, they gain 1 point. For every kill the snipers get, they attain 1 point (the gametype is set to instant kill for snipers). Blue team cannot harm red team unless they assasinate them. However, they are able to use their pistol fire to unzoom their foes' sniper rifles. Grenades and friendly fire are turned off, so the only way to commit suicide is by crossing the border. The snipers cannot commit suicide, since they are invincible. A bubble shield, deployable cover, grav lift, flare, and invisibility power-up may be found across the map to aid the runners. This map is based off of the oceanside part of the Halo 2 map 'Headlong.' NOTE: There is no set amount of players that should be snipers and runners except for that the runners should outnumber the snipers. The amount of snipers needed on red team depends on the skill of the runners and snipers, and how many people are playing. Usually, I play with 2 or 3 snipers. this map looks alright, a little confusing. however, i went through the trouble to look at some of your other maps that you linked, and they look like pretty decent maps, maybe you can make a post or two for the lazy people on forgehub.
I'm glad you posted this, I really like it. One question though, can the snipers pick up weapons and equipment? With "instant kill," it would be annoying if they could duel wield the dropped pistols of the sprinters.
Nope, they cannot pick the weapons or items up! But they can steal the invisibility to prevent the sprinters from getting it! Oh, and I'm not really sure how this map is confusing. Blue tries to jump over the wall before they get sniped by red. That is the summary and all you really need to know to play.
well i pretty much like all your maps. i think it is because of there simple nature. when i read the summary i thought this was going to be like mexicans trying to cross the border into the U.S.. You should apply to be a forger they need someone who can make simple concepted maps as well as you do.
wasn't this map supposed to be the "fence Jumper" map or something of that nature? I take it someone made you change the name if that was the case? Names aside the map looks pretty well organized, I'd have to give the gametype a shot though.
Actually, that is exactly how I posted these so fast! I had applied to be a forger and then I decided I might as well add my maps to this forum because not everyone checks the Guilders Apps. And so I did! The magic of copy and paste! Haha.
if any of you guys have played the original Conkers bad fur day it kind of reminds me of the mini game where the civilians have to run the beach and through the entrance to be safe to london although the tediz have weappons to stop them
