Hey all, I'm looking to finish up some minigame maps, so if you're interested send me a FR or message me and I'll invite you (or other way around) if you wish to help with either of these mini game maps. The first map is C'mongoose. I believe it has some excellent forging but the gameplay is extremely lackluster. The game consists of scoring the mongoose in the other team's goal, but this game seems to be extremely one-sided. Whoever gets to the mongoose first seems to win. If you're willing to take this project on, I can give you more details about it as well as hook you up with the gametype and map. The second map I have more hope for. It is called Wildfire and the object of the game is to stop the kill balls from making it all the way down the half-pipe. How do you do that? With your handy warthog firetruck of course. A teammate must lay down a drop shield to protect your firetruck as you drive into the kill ball. The kill ball is the skee ball object while the warthog is the goal, causing the kill ball to disappear, and saving the warthog from certain destruction. The map itself has a long way to go, as well as setting up the gametype and balancing the map itself. Originally, the red team powered the kill balls, but I am setting up the map now to be more like Avalanche with kill balls. The problem is I need someone who knows how to make the paths of the kill balls random. Pics
I've played rough drafts of both of these games and wish you luck with them. C'Mongoose seems to have a lot of potential to me. When we played the other one I didn't really know how to play it and thus we didn't enjoy it much (plus the red team was bored). The new version seems better - and looks better too - but I think randomness is going to be a problem. Reach doesn't do random very well. Something like a rolling kill ball has basically a fixed path it will always follow. You could try having it spawn on a couple of lifts pointed in different directions but in the exact same position - Reach might flip a coin in a situation like that, I dunno.
