"Sometimes weird stuff happens in the online-world of Halo Reach. But the following events will leave the main characters Mike and Phil speechless. There is a new enemy in multiplayer and it will blow your mind!" Anyways, that's the description of the video. It's a 6 minute long Machinima and my first one to use actual voice actors. It's nothing special but we all start out somewhere. The editing took forever but I'm quite happy with the result, even though it wasn't really what I expected. So, why am I telling you all this? Ever since Youtube changed their layout my channel don't have the views that it used to have. All I'm asking for is a look at the video and maybe a like, comment or sub on Youtube. Since I'm in college at the time I can only offer you a video per month, but it's quality, not quantity that counts right? Anyways, check it out and tell me what you think An Explosive Visitor - Halo Reach & Minecraft Machinima - YouTube
My first video is pretty serious. I'm planning on making more videos like that one and less funny stuff for a while
It was funny, but really slow, also feels like a knock off of puppy in H3. Good job though, I watched the Elite vid too.
It's slow as hell. I though it would be more fast pace, but the script didn't really allow it. Never thought about it as a knock off of the puppy video, but you have a point.
I have to agree with this.. However, the script is okay imo. Just the voice acting made it painful and there was too much dead time between people talking. Go watch It's Always Sunny for a bit. That's probably what you're going for Otherwise, unique ideas, funny lines, not so great execution. Good luck! Edit: What I mean about the voice acting part is the voices are too quiet and non-exuberant. Gotta get into it and show a little more enthusiasm
Thanks for the feedback. There is a lot of dead time between the dialog. It was originally thought to be about 2-3 minutes long, but with all the dialog and the camera angles it got way too long. The voice actors were new and fairly unexperienced. I don't have people around me that's into the concept of machinima, so I have to find people over the internet. People are most used to fast pace videos like this, with little story and just quick humor. I guess I made a miscalculation there
