NOTE: HallBrawl has two problems that I didn't notice when I posted the map on my Fileshare. HallBrawl v2 is now on my file share. Please download v2. I can't figure out how to change the Download link in the box above, so please just visit my file share and HallBrawl V2 should appear. Thanks!
    Map Description
Hello Forgers! I would like to start off by saying I am completely new to Forge Hub, and pretty new to Forge in general. As this is my first map I have posted here, I would really appreciate all sorts of constructive criticism on the map, game types, and the post itself. If I have formatted this wrong or something please tell me.
On to the map that no doubt brought you here. The map is symmetrical, with team objective and team slayer games in mind. The map is composed of two halls and two bases that cap off the ends and connect the two halls. The middle of the map features a third hall that connects the other two halls and an armory. The map is medium sized, but I ran out of pieces in the building blocks, platforms, walls, and I nearly ran out of decorative pieces. A special effect and the red and blue accents on the map make it a little more visually appealing, as they make the dark grey a little less annoying. Not that you’ll have time to notice! I personally believe the map is best with a custom 5-Plot Territories game type I created, but that is just my opinion. I think it is HallBrawl as it was meant to be played. Though I have enough spawns placed for 16 players, I think it might be a little cramped in the halls, so 12 or fewer is recommended.

This First picture is of the outside of HallBrawl, looking at it from the side.

The second picture is also from the outside, but this time looking from the red base (bottom) to the blue base (top)

The next picture is of the interior of the red base. The one-way shield prevents anybody from entering and spawn-killing
    [IMG]

Upon exiting their base, the red team can choose to go left or right. The left way is shown in this picture.

Each end of the left hall features a plasma turret.

The right hall looks different, primarily due to the fact I ran out of wall pieces.

Both sides of both halls feature shelves that hold weapons.

Another picture of the left hall.

The armory in the neutral area of the map. The AI console took a few drafts.

The only game type (as far as I can remember) that has non-standard load-outs is the 5-Plot Territories mode I made. As I said before, it is HallBrawl as it was meant to be played. That is why it is the custom gametype with the DL above. Here are the load-outs:
    1. Sprint, Spiker, Plasma Pistol, 2x Frag Grenades
    2. Armor Lock, Gravity Hammer, Plasma Pistol, 2x Frag Grenades
    3. Hologram, Needler, Plasma Pistol, 2x Frag Grenades
    4. Drop Shield, Needle Rifle, Needler, 2x Frag
    5. Sprint, Plasma Repeated, Plasma Pistol, 2x frag grenades
There are multiple weapons placed on the map, distributed evenly. They all respawn in 90 seconds, except for the Plasma Grenades, which respawn in 15. The Power Weapons create fast-paced game play. You can expect plenty of deaths. Fortunately, the map is small enough you won’t have a long walk back to the action. There are also Plasma batteries placed in all of the territories to flush out anyone camping in them with a loud BANG and a dead body!
Message to all campers: GET OUT!
That’s all I’ve got! I'm putting the map up to the Tester's Guild in a few minutes, so this may not be the final draft. Give this map a download please and unleash a tide of constructive criticism. Thanks!

Yeah hallwars inspired this map. While I was building HallBrawl I studied every piece of Hallwars to see how it was built. Unfortunately I couldn't do the same thing to both sides due to the fact I ran out of pieces. Thanks!

Yea i was thinking this looks like DarthHumans map. I like how you made it the same exterior but on the inside it seems a tad more time was put into this. great job hope it plays as well as Hallwars.

Thanks!!! This is actually draft 4. Draft 1 was a losers attempt, draft 2 was a leach of pieces and didn't even look good, and draft 3 was too small. In fact, in draft 3, it took 7 seconds to go from blue base to the center of the map! Tiny! Eventually I realized that and I added four more 5x5 blocks to each end.

HallBrawl v2 is available on my file share now. When I uploaded the first one I didn't realize my friend had messed around with it. These issues are now fixed. For those who are wondering, he moved the blue team turret, and he placed a Hologram armor ability on the map.

If this was influenced by Darth Human, you might want to give him credit. Oh, and can you cross between halls?

Yes, you can cross between halls. I'm in a hurry now, so I don't have time, but I'll add credit to Darth Human this afternoon

Yes, you can cross halls. I'm busy now, but I'll add credit to Darth Human this afternoon. I build this map completely from scratch though... so I guess I'll just say 'inspired by a Darth Human map called 'Hallwars.'
