So I've recently finished an Unauthorized Access Investigation a couple days back. When I got my Xbox Live account back, I was also given a new WLID which is now associated with my Gamertag. My problem is when I try to sign into Bungie.net, I have to create a whole new profile on the website, instead of just being able to sign into my original Bungie.net account. Is it because I have a new WLID? When I got my Xbox Live account back, I was told I will be able to change the WLID in 30 days. So with that said, would changing the WLID to the original one that was associated with my Gamertag allow me to sign into my original Bungie.net account? (During the time I've been waiting to get my XBL account back I returned to forging maps. I made a couple decent ones and my first ever competitive map which I think is extremely good called Hydrophobia. I cant wait to post here on Forgehub)
Your Bungie.net account isn't linked to the gamertag, it's linked to the Windows Live ID. If you're just looking for stats, just sign up and link it with your Old gamertag. If you're doing it because you post regularly on the forums: Turn off your computer.
okay, i found out the problem. When my XBL account was stolen, the thief changed the WLid that was formely on my GT to something else. So the login credentials for Bnet also changed. Do you think that I could change the WLid associated to my Bnet account?
