Well, that's about it. I'd like to thank UberlyPwned and Shikarix for helping me with the map, and my little brother for being my minion and placing stuff for me. The map still looks REALLY open. But, you should of posted a map preview because you made this too quick, not much to really say, I guess I'll get a game on it with you.
Yeah, it's still a little open, maybe a bit more than I wanted, but the centerpiece where the GL spawns cuts off almost every overly long LoS, and I've added cover to the corners by the bases, so it's a lot less open then when you last saw it. I'll definitely make a v2, though.
the idea of this map is great but in slayer dmr ( alwys want dmr ). the mao is a little bit open. mabe some shieds on the ramps. but for slayer with AR. are great.
Yeah, I had problems with it being open too. The DMR is set at 45 second spawn because I wanted it to be a slight advantage, but I may have overdone it. Will make a v2.
Its a really nice map and the LoS look great but I think I agree with everyone else it is a little to open. P.S. You don't need to post again about making a V2 already read the other posts
I posted that at 11 PM after 3 houses for Xmas. Cut me a break? But yeah, I forgot to put in what SYLUX said, it was meant for AR starts.
Sorry for getting back to you late, I was gone for New Year's. Thanks for the feedback though, it's appreciated, and I have almost fixed the cover issue.
This is a great little room, but it feels too small, even for 1v1. For me, I think it only works for odd custom gametypes like grenade dodgeball or grenade launchers + beefed health. I like how it's a symmetrical-ish layout with some differences. Would you consider adding another room about the same size right next to it with some windows or tunnels to get there? That's probably more revision than you had in mind, and I noticed you had used about 2/3 of the budget already. Just a thought.
I gave this a fly through in forge, and i have to agree with CaptainPoopface (lol). It's essentially just one room, with a few things to break up LoS from wall to wall. The area with banks for floors is also too good a spot. I imagine a player grrabbing a hold of that and never letting go, because he can see the whole room from there.
Ok, so I can't work now, but here are my planned revisions. 1. Remove the back of the lower hallway and create another room/hall. 2. Add a ramp to top hall from the middle, and block more of its sightliness. 3. Swap GL for a no clips Shotty. Feedback on these ideas?
