Despair After several months being MIA from the forge community, I've finally returned and have released my last map from before my absence. Weapons and Equipment: 1x GL 4x DMR 4x NR 2x Plasma Pistol 4x Frag Grenade 4x Plasma Grenade 2x Health Pack Gametypes: Team Slayer KotH Oddball CTF Assault Recommended Gametypes: Slayer Koth Description: Despair is a inverse symetrical map that features five rooms, two of which are mirrored and a central atrium. It highly promotes the use of the jet pack while offering no disadvantage to the use of sprint. Originally designed for the MLG "Room Based" submission, this map garnered a lot of attention and was featured in the Forge Open Tournament hosted by Imperium and members of the MLG community. The map was favored by many; however, fell short of gaining the support it needed. Love it or hate it, its a map that made its own impact in the forge community. Thanks to... Bleuprint, SaLoT, Ladnil, Col Keller, Sethiroth, Solo xiii, Uno, TaK, and Killa KC for helping with changing the design of the map over the duration of its development. You guys helped shape this map into something solid and enjoyable to play on. Thank you. Download Despair.
Technically, Courtyard is by my buddy Faybian, but I designed the bulk of it and named it. Would probably count more as a co-forge.
Looks nice, you probably don't need the light there to signify which is red and blue base considering you have the platforms there, just takes up some budget and possible frame rate. I can't seem to figure out the layout of the map, but it seems interesting, I like how you have a camo in the middle of your drop as a risk/reward factor. I also enjoy the jetpack pickup, I like when players have to pick up armor abilities rather than just select them off a loadout. Also, nice job for making this in the coliseum.
The lights I included after working this down to play in splitscreen without framerate issues. As they didn't hinder whole screen framerate, and don't render on split, I thought they would be a nice aesthetic inclusion. Because of the light mapping in the collesium, the ambiance of the lights has a pretty awesome affect IMO.
