ok i know ive made several other polls on this topic but this is the final version. you can delete the other two by me. i need to add structure to my map siege the castle. i will need you guys to vote on which structure i should build. if you dont like the options then give me your opinion. i would love to hear it. also if you dont think i had a good enough description then pls reply on this tread and ill get back to you when i have time. thanks everyone
I played Siege the Castle in a test and I can say you need to focus on gameplay over what your structures should be. Instead of asking' "what should my structures look like" you should be thinking, "where should structures go in order to make the game play well?" To answer your question, building an area with open space yet enough cover/division leads me to tell you to go for a very wide tower focussed on horizontal movement and not vertical.
yeah i know. im going to add two entrances to each castle and take away the snipper and ability to go into the tower. what do you think of that? also im going to make ranged wepons with less clips. i just need some more to add to the opened map. i want to make something that you can go into.
So now you have three choke points instead of one. You're getting closer but that's still not going to make a good map. As shoe said, in a slightly nicer but not direct enough way, screw the concept and focus on a map that plays well. That means we want movement rather than a standoff. This is halo not tower defense.
