MLG Resistance v2 Gametypes: Oddball, slayer, king of the hill, capture the flag, territories, headhunter, assault, stockpile MLG Resistance is a symmetrical map intended for competitive gameplay. The map shares elements of construct, the pit, and MLG Oasis. It allows for fast paced gameplay while minimizing the effects of map domination. The various routes allow for teams to effortlessly move around the map. V2 offers more cover while most of the changes have been to the aesthetics. The framerate issues have been completely eliminated. A notable change is the deletion of the window coliseums on the top of the map. Weapons: DMR Needle Rifle Rocket (0 extra clips, 180 sec respawn) Sniper (1 extra clip, 180 sec respawn) Custom Power up (180 sec respawn) Frags Plasma grenades The map: Red Spawn Red passage Red Platform Red Walkway Purple (snipe and custom) Top Mid Top mid V2 Green Room Green Room V2 Rocket Spawn Rocket spawn V2 Blue spawn Blue corridor Corridor V2 (same was done to the red corridor) Some gameplay shots Enjoy and comment what you think!
This looks like a very clean solid map very nice aesthetics but it does look a little open though so I would try adding more cover but besides that this is a very nice map
From what I can see in the pictures, you should change a few things. To avoid some framerate issues remove the glass cover...Also overlapping pieces, try and not do that. It will make your map look nicer and if there is lag or anything it should lessen it. Other than that it look fairly solid.
The map does have an open feel to it, I wanted to create something similar to the pit with open areas while minimizing large lines of sight. In my first tests of the v1 it ran smoothly and being too open was not an issue. While it seems really open, every area of the map has areas of cover. Feel free to test the map and let me know if there are any areas that lack sufficient cover. RejectedSnail- I have been working on the framerate issues for this map. I tried to eliminate most of them before posting but there are still areas on ramps and corners that I have yet to do. I will take into consideration eliminating the glass roof. thanks for the feedback
