Map name: Down With The Sickness Gametype: Race Description: I wanted to make something new for the smm2010's originality forge contest. So I made this. A story based adventure race map. After each lap the layout of the track will chance and new scenery and routes will appear. The map is best played alone because other players may block u. What aspect took the longest to get right? I had major problems with the starting gate because sometimes the player might respawn in some random point of the map for no good reason. How long did it take to create? I don't know for sure but it took quite long because making stuff appear at spesific time takes more time than jut putting it straight there. Tracks that change as you progress are always cool, and this one is no exception. The spawn is pretty neat, but I think you should cover that man cannon that shoots the fusion coil before racers get there, because I thought it was a shortcut that propelled you to the checkpoint the first time I raced on the track. It just sent me flying back to spawn and then the timing of the whole map was thrown off as things starting spawning before I got to the first checkpoint. I thought you could have chosen some smoother paths of terrain, specifically the part before the lap ends. *SPOILER ALERT* Spoiler You can skip the whole **** of teleporters on the last checkpoint if you just go down the "hole" in the track so that you go under the sender node the teleports you back into the soft-kill barrier. This could be easily fixed by covering the "hole" for the final lap, or extending the sender node down to include the bottom portion of that turn. Overall, I enjoyed racing the map despite its faults, and I hope this inspires more people to make this kind of racetrack, because they are always fun to race on.
I get the feeling that the 'WTF WHAT IS THIS' Teleporter portion was meant to be like that. For both Teleporter occasions.
